Mercedes- Benz CLA to arrive by end of 2014
Mercedes-Benz India will soon come up with another luxury defining premium sedan all new Mercedes Benz CLA, by the end of this year. The new CLA will be pitted against Audi A3 and BMW 1 Series sedans in India. The new CLA will be powered by both petrol and diesel engines. The diesel version is expected to be powered by a 2.2-litre engine producing max power of 107bhp and max torque of 250Nm. It returns an impressive mileage of 20kmpl. The petrol version gets a 1.6-litre engine that churns max power of 121bhp along with top torque of 200Nm. The petrol model returns mileage of 15-16kmpl. Also, an AMG version is expected to make its debut in India, which would be powered by a 2.0-litre engine developing 360bhp and 450Nm of outputs.

Across all the variants, the engine come mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch gear transmission. In terms of safety features, the car gets all-advanced safety features including active parking assist, collision prevention assist, attention assist, ESP, brake assist and electromechanical power steering system. It will also be equipped with advanced comfort features like automatic AC with climate control function, an advanced instrument panel, leather covered seats and others.
As far as pricing is concerned, we expect the luxury sedan to be priced in between Rs 25-30 lakh in India.
