The range runs a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 in 350 PS and 430 PS petrol tunes plus a 275 PS V6 turbodiesel, all with Q4 intelligent all-wheel drive, standard air suspension and Skyhook adaptive damping — and the petrol V6s are built at Ferrari's Maranello plant. Two trims set the character: GranSport for a sporty edge (black grille, 20-inch wheels, red calipers, sport seats) and GranLusso for understated luxury. It opens with the 350 GranSport (₹1.49 Cr) and GranSport Diesel (₹1.51 Cr); the 350 GranLusso (₹1.53 Cr) is the refined cruiser, and the 430 GranLusso (₹1.64 Cr) tops the range with the more potent petrol V6. Most buyers should take the 350 GranLusso (₹1.53 Cr) — 350 PS, air suspension and the luxury trim make it the well-rounded pick; the diesel suits high-milers and the 430 those wanting more urge.

Maserati launched the 2018 Levante, its luxury sports SUV, in India at a starting price of Rs 1.45 crore (ex-showroom). It is available with only one engine option - a 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel. This engine can produce 275PS and 600Nm of peak torque. However, there are three trim levels on offer - the base variant, the GranSport, priced at Rs 1.49 crore and the top-spec GranLusso variant which costs Rs 1.54 crore (all prices ex-showroom). The Maserati Levante is equipped with active air suspension, while power is sent to the all-wheel drivetrain via an 8-speed automatic transmission which allows it to do 0-100kmph in 6.9 seconds and clock a top speed of 230kmph. The GranSport is the sportier trim with sports seats, sports steering wheel with paddle shifters, sport rear spoiler and red brake calipers. If you want your Maserati Levante to be more luxurious, pick the GranLusso trim which gets rid of all of those things we just mentioned and instead has black brake calipers for its 19-inch Zefino design alloys as well as Ermenegildo Zegna Silk interiors.
