Latest Update: The XL5 was recently spotted testing again. It is expected to debut at the Auto Expo 2020.
Expected Engine: It is expected to get the WagonR’s 1.2-litre engine that puts out 83PS of power and 113Nm of torque. Maruti could also offer it with the same transmission options as the WagonR - a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT.
Expected Features: The XL5 is expected to come with features such as 15-inch alloy wheels, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, and LED elements in its tail lamps. Maruti is likely to offer it with a more premium upholstery, automatic climate control, and push button start-stop.
Expected Prices: We expect Maruti to price the XL5 between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 6.5 lakh.
Expected Rivals: It will rival the Maruti Ignis, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, as well as Ford Figo and Freestyle.
