Maruti Suzuki Swift news

The new Swift gets a whole host of updates to give it an edge over its direct rival

Apart from the launch of new-generation Maruti hatchback, we also got confirmation on a new diesel mild hybrid SUV from Toyota in India

How does the new Swift compare to the Grand i10 Nios, Punch and Triber in terms of prices?

The Swift still has a 1.2-litre petrol engine, but it now has three cylinders instead of four, and here are the reasons why that’s not necessarily a bad thing

The highest discounts are offered for the AMT (automatic) variants

The new Swift gets two accessory packs, one of which is called the Racing Roadstar, with cosmetic changes inside and out

The new-generation Swift comes in six monotone and three dual-tone exterior colour options for India

The fourth-generation Swift looks fresh both inside and out, and it also gets a new Z Series petrol engine

The new Swift has a lot of new features that it has borrowed from its Maruti siblings like the Baleno and Fronx

The new Swift looks sharper and is more premium on the inside, while also featuring a fresh petrol engine under its hood

Bookings already open for Rs 11,000, engine and features details already leaked online

The new-generation Swift has gone on sale in India with changes to the cabin, engine and exterior design

The new Swift is expected to be offered in five broad variants: LXi, VXi, VXi (O), ZXi, and ZXi Plus

The model pictured seemed to be a mid-spec variant given the absence of alloy wheels and front fog lamps, while having a basic cabin

The new Swift will go on sale on May 9, with prices expected to start from Rs 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom)
