Another one two finish by team Mercedes in the Austrian Grand Prix. Sixth for the season! Its like the team is invincible. Mercedes star German driver, Nico Rosberg finished first while his teammate Lewis Hamilton crossed the checkered flag 1.92 seconds later.  With a gain of 25 points, Rosberg enjoyed his third win of the year and leads the driver's championship table over Hamilton with 29 points.

Rosberg finished his 71 laps of 191 miles (307.02 kms) in 1hr 27 min 54.976 seconds with an average speed of 209.531 mph (337.207 kmph) while his British partner managed to finished the race with an average speed of 209.454 mph (337.084 kmph) just 1.932 seconds behind. Hamilton won four races in a row but is still behind Rosberg who never finished worse than second.

In the post-race press conference, Nico Rosberg said, “Yeah, it wasn’t the easiest of races - trying to manage certain things that were a bit on the limit on the car. But in the end I had a very, very fast car again, so it was fantastic to win today. It’s great also to get a one-two here in Austria and it’s great to come back here to Austria. I mean Austria for sure deserves a race. The fans have been amazing, the atmosphere has been spectacular this weekend, so thank you very much for that and yeah it’s been awesome.

It was a good day for team Williams as Valtteri Bottas came third followed by his teammate Felipe Massa. It was Valtteri first career Formula One podium finish.  Things for team Red Bull messed up when Four-time Formula One champion Sebastian Vettel faced an engine problem in second lap while his partner Daniel Ricciardo finished at eighth position and scored 4 points.

Moreover, Lewis Hamilton was frustrated over his another podium two finish but looked confident as he said, ''I don’t know. I have to have a look at the feedback and just see what the team say about the stops. Maybe my positioning is not right, you know obviously in those situations you’re just pushing. But the guys have done a fantastic job. As Nico said, to get another one-two here is just incredible. This track has been fantastic and the fans have been insane this weekend, so thank you all for the support.”

For team Ferrari, Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen failed to acquire podium finish. Alonso finished at fifth position while Raikkonen only managed to come at tenth position. Hard luck for Force India as Sergio Perez finished at sixth place followed by his pair Nico Hulkenberg at ninth position.

Mercedes’ nonexecutive chairman, Niki Lauda, a star F1 driver himself said, “Lewis will fight back I have no worries about that at all. We are going to Silverstone and Lewis is Lewis. He has his home race and fans and he needs to make up ground to Nico, so I am sure he will be at his highest level. His Montreal race was a disaster but he will keep on fighting, don’t worry.”
