Nissan Evalia MPV’s utility factor did not go unobserved by the visitors at the Auto Expo. If Nissan pulled out a King, Ashok Leyland managed to get an Ace out of the deck. Lookswise, the Ashok Leyland’s version of Nissan Evalia, the Stile MPV beats its sister.

Though carrying the same overall looks on the whole, Ashok Leyland gets to choose between the 1.5 L K9K engine offered in two different tunes. Nissan’s 1.5 L K9K diesel engine which we have been seeing in the Nissan Micra can be tuned to either 85 Bhp and 200 Nm power and torque or the 105 Bhp and 205 Nm top power and torque.

Moreover, it is believed that Ashok Leyland might use the Stile MPV as a passenger car as well as for the commercial use. So, who knows, Ashok Leyland might keep both the engine tunes to serve different purposes. Well, it is up to Ashok  Leyland to decide. But, all the same we might be seeing the passenger version of Ashok Leyland’s Stile for the start with the commercial version of the same to closely follow it. A  CNG variant of the MPV is also on the cards and mid-2012 is when Ashok Leyland could plan to launch the diesel and the CNG version together.

Stile looking more gorgeous than its sister, we do not actually have to run for the Japanese car manufacturer’s version when we have the Ashok Leyland giving the same product that too with better looks. The narrow looking tall MPV basically could be used for multiple purposes and defying the conventional naming, Ashok Leyland wants to do something different with its first ever passenger segment vehicle. So, the famous truck manufacturer came up with the MFV, an abbreviation for Multi-Functional Vehicle. Exteriors - if you minus the elongated front end, the car is like a rough sketch of Maruti Omni we are very used to, with the same sliding door for facilitating the entry of the rear passengers.
