2010 has been a great year for carmakers, dealers have been happy, customers got to drive their favorite vehicles. The Indian auto market grew leaps and bounds so much that the entire world was left wide eyed and the auto giants from across the globe wanted their share of the booming Indian market.

While some may think that the auto market has had enough of cars, Carmakers think otherwise. After a historical year 2010, Auto manufacturers are back again with an array of cars that will leave the buyers wanting for more.

Lets have a look at what the top car manufacturers plan to bring this new year.

Maruti Kizashi

First displayed at the Auto Expo in Jan, 2010, this attraction from Maruti Suzuki, Maruti Kizashi left everyone's jaw dropped. Known for its prowess in the small car segment, Maruti dares to enter the premium car category with this power car, originally priced at 18 lac. Indian market however might get this car for a price tag of 10-12 lac, considering the price sensitive auto market here. The mileage offered by Maruti Kizashi is 9 kmpl in the city and 12 kmpl on highway. The car would be launched in this month itself.

Hyundai Avante

Close competitor of Maruti Kizashi, Hyundai Avante is a premium sedan to be launched in the first Quarter of this year. Priced at 11 lac (approx.), Hyundai Avante with its refreshing looks is all set to charge on its competitors. Crafted aerodynamically, the car glides on the road, becoming one with the wind. This bold beauty on wheels is the fourth generation model in the D segment which would replace Hyundai Elantra in the market. Expect a great mileage figure from this Korean extravagance.

Maruti Cervo

To be launched in the month of January this year, Maruti Cervo is an entry level compact car priced between 1.5 to 2 lac. Maruti Suzuki with this car sets to prove again that there's nobody who knows small car than this Indian Japanese duo. This 4 door small car is especially made for the challenging Indian roads. Though priced really low, Maruti has not compromised on the interiors and has given most of the standard features present in the popular hatchbacks in India. Chevrolet Sail

First showcased as a concept car in Shanghai Auto Show in 2005 in association with SAIC and PATAC, General Motors is expected to bring its Chevrolet Sail in India soon, though the company hasn't cleared its stand on the launch in India. Unveiled as both sedan and Hatch, the car is designed with light weight material that would ensure a good amount of fuel efficiency and speed. The direct competitors of this car would be Maruti Swift Dzire, Tata Indigo Manza and Hyundai Accent.

Nissan Sunny

Nissan Sunny, a car from the Japanese automaker is expected to be launched in the Indian auto market in the month of March or April, with a different name. Priced between Rs. 8-10 lac, Nissan Sunny would be available in both petrol and diesel version. The sedan will come with all the features, both comfort and safety at par with other cars in its league. It is expected that the mileage figures would be considerably good considering the attention paid to fuel economy in all the cars manufactured for India. The car would be in direct competition with Hyundai Verna, Honda City, Maruti Swift Dzire, Tata Indigo Manza and Ford Fiesta.

Toyota Etios Liva

First ever hatchback from Toyota that excels in sedans and SUV and technology affixed in it, Toyota Etios Liva is a much thought about car from the makers. Tempted by the booming small car market in India, Toyota decided to manufacture this small car. To be launched in April, Toyota Etios Liva has already created a buzz with its brand name and exceptionally low price of 4.2 to 5.5 lac (expected).
