Maruti Kizashi Description :

Maruti Kizashi is a sports sedan which is powered by a J24B 2.4 litre petrol engine, 4 cylinder, DOHC. The D-segment car's powertrain is capable of producing peak power of 185 hp at 6,500 rpm (Manual Transmission) and 180 hp at 6,000 rpm (continuously Variable Transmission). The maximum torque from the engine is 170 Nm at 4,000 rpm in both type of transmission. Maruti Kizashi is available in Japan and the US standard with Front Wheel Drive and optional All Wheel Drive. The optional i-AWD system includes a driver-activated Front Wheel Drive mode in view to save petrol. It is speculated that the sports sedan will come equipped with either 17 inch alloy wheel or 18 inch alloy wheels. The steering wheel might come as having three spokes and electronically powered. The suspension system would be Macpherson strut and coil springs front and rear one would be multi-link type. Whereas all the wheels must have disc brakes. Front brake would be vented disc and rear solid disc.

The braking system would be comprised of Electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), Electric Stability Program (ESP) along with the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS).

Maruti Kizashi is supposed to compete with Honda Accord and Toyota Carmy in India. The yet-to-launch Maruti Kizashi is reported to be little shorter than Honda Accord and Toyota Carmy but wider than latter.

The four door mid size sedan, Maruti Kizashi, is to come with the same sporty and athletic looks as available in Japan. The seating capacity would be 5 only including the driver. Mileage, Average and Fuel Economy

Maruti Kizashi, the flagship model of the Suzuki, has been loaded with a J24B 2.4 petrol engine with 4 cylinder 16 valves DOHC. The 2400cc engine is capable enough to produce 185 hp of peak power at 6,500 rpm (MT) and 180 hp at 6,000 rpm (CVT). While it churns 170 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. Maruti Kizashi boasts of direct ignition system (DIS) for powerful sparks directly to the plugs which results in ultimate fuel efficiency and less emissions. With the help of this and other engine technologies, the car gives 9 kmpl in city and 12 kmpl at highway. The maximum fuel tank capacity of the car is 63 litre.

Power

The all new Maruti Kizashi is likely to be fitted with 2.4 litre, 185 hp 4 cylinder 16 valves, DHOC petrol engine and six-speed manual transmission. On the other hand, Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), powertrain has standard 180 horsepower. However, top torque delievery is same for both options that is 170 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The power and torque figures are much impressive as against other sedans in the segment. The engine is designed to house DOHC system that allows more comfortable breathing of the engine thereby the mill becomes more fuel efficient and powerful. The optional Continuously Variable Tranmission and all wheel drive variant is far better than manual transmission.

Colors

As we mentioned under earlier headings that the Maruti Kizashi is loaded with J2.4 litre, 4 cylinder 16 valves, DOHC petrol engine. The engine generates 185 hp of top power at 6,500 rpm (Manual Transmission) and 180 hp at 6,500 rpm (CVT). The maximum torque is 170 Nm at 4,000 rpm with systems. The new engine of Maruti Kizashi promises sporty handling and control along with zippy acceleration. The standard front wheel drive variant sprints from 0-60 mph in just 8.3 seconds. The front wheel drive variant only comes with six-speed manual transmission.

Exterior Appearance

Maruti Kizashi is a four door D segment sedan which is designed with altogether different style. The front view of the vehicle is sporty and elegant. The front is not so low-slung and seems aggressive. The flat like nose of the car sports bigger regal honeycomb grille, jewel like projector headlamps and lower grille. The upper and lower grille are fitted in a 'U' shape design. Rectangular fog lamp cluster has placed separately from the lower grille. This also add to the appeal of the vehicle. The headlight cluster houses headlamp and turn indicators. Rain sensing automatic wiper are there at the lower end of the front windshield. Curves and slopes at the front are left in bold and beautiful style.

The outside rear view mirrors are in body colour without LED turn indicators and is supposed to come like that only. However, the outside rear view mirrors will be electronically powered. The door handle bars are also painted in body shade to add beauty to the vehicle. The rear view of the Maruti Kizashi seems more wider and upswing. The rear hatch does duty of a rear spoiler due to its design.

A rectangular LED brake light cluster is added at the top of the rear-spoiler like top end of the rear hatch. Like headlamps, the tail light cluster is bigger and houses brake light, rear parking assist and turn indicators. Twin exhaust pipes at the rear enhance the sporty and aggressive looking of Maruti Kizashi. It has a shape of triangle. That means it is shorter in length to Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. However, it is wider than these two Indian cars. The wheelbase of Maruti Kizashi is 2700mm while the ground clearance is 145mm.
