Skoda Rapid TDI has been serving us since january 2012 and it has clocked approx. 125000 kms till today. The car has been an steady performer with minor to absolute no glitches except normal wear and tear of the running components. The myth of high maintenance cost of skoda comes to stand still if you own a Rapid as my expenses over normal service and routine maintenance have not been beyond 2 lacs in past 7 years. Also, the quality and honesty at the authorised skoda service centres are improving. The only downside is the poor resale and heavy clutch. The car still runs frugal and intact peaking a mileage of 21kmpl approx. even after the odo shows 1.25 lac kms which is phenomenal. The engine and electricals are reliable and the built is tank solid which adds upto the confidence. The most loving part is the enormous torque and the confidence inspiring steering set up. I hope the Rapid gets a nice new version (just not a mere facelift) and I might look forward to own one again. Happy Rapiding.
