When it comes to Swift, all generations have been hits. The new Swift 2018 is recognizable, but not monotonous, there is something about the metallic silver variant that makes head turn. When we talk about the looks it's a simple and confident design which you don't see too often. It's a good looking car as well as a compact design which suits to every kind of taste or occasion which you get. It's a sporty and yet very functional, it feels racy but at the same time spacious. Good support for front-seat passengers, though backseats comfort is compromised. The 1.3-litre Diesel motor produces 74PS & 190Nm torque and the 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated Petrol motor produces 83PS & 193Nm torque which is identical to the previous generations of swifts. Refinement levels are not up to the mark which makes it noisy, though it does not make you uncomfortable. There is some stretch in the wheelbase, therefore it feels more planted. The best part is that this car has a variety of variants to choose from. You have both petrol & diesel in AMT & MT. There is a no drastic change in the AMT variant but it just lost 60Kgs which made it a lot lighter than the old one. Usually, diesel AMTs are not fit for a bumper to bumper traffic or you can say crowded cities because they suffer from a turbo lag but the 2018 Swift will amaze you by its ability to tackle these situations as it reels forward as opposed to crawling forward. Maruti Suzuki always stands for its fuel efficiency which is the point of attraction for the 2018 Swift. You will get an average mileage of 28.4 km/l from the diesel model and 21.21 km/l from the petrol model. This is a benchmark in its segment which is unbelievable for a sporty hatch. It gives you power and efficiency at the same time so that family and enthusiasts both can enjoy this car and it fits the budget too. 4 stars don't mean that it's not a choice it is just that it lacks in some aspects safety.
