Hyundai Xcent -The Perfect Indian Family Sedan
Hyundai Xcent since its launch on February, 2014 has received a warm response from its customers. Now to begin the review lets first talk of the exterior and its appeal towards customer. The looks are almost similar to the company's own Grand i10 hatchback and the model is based on the same platform. The exterior seems to be fresh and eye catching. Going toward the rear, the boot is neatly designed to give a better overall look to the car. The design is based on the company's fluidic design prevalent over other Hyundai's model as well.
Coming to the Interior, the dashboard is well designed and all the buttons are positioned properly in convenience to the front passenger/driver. The dashboard gives a premium feel and is really one of the best among all the sedans in its class. The steering wheel is mounted with call start and end key, music control keys such as mode, volume and mute keys. The steering wheel can be adjusted as per driver's comfort. The centre music player hosts a lot of features such as mp3, aux, Bluetooth telephony, cd and dvd, fm player. The dashboard also has a cooled glove box which is sufficient to hold your medium size bottles and keep them cool for you during your long journeys in summer. Even the door pockets and below the gear lever, there are adequate bottle holders for you and your family. Coming to the rear seat, the rear ac vent is present to give back seaters a comfortable journey during summers. The seat is well cushioned and sitting three at the back could be just adequate. The back seats even has a cup holder in centre along with the arm rest. All the windows come with feature of power windows. The driver can even lock the windows as well as door. To provide a hassle free driving experience, the gear is really light and the clutch is really swift. Even at gear number three , the car easily seems to move in low speed. This means that in traffic and congested areas one does not need to continuously shift gears. The driver also gets access to side view mirrors with electric ovrm's neatly placed on the right and left doors for better side view. The car gets central lock feature and boot opener just with the press of the buttons placed on the keys. The boot is extremely large at 400 litres to accommodate all your luggage for a family vacation. The ARAI certified mileage is 19.1 km/ltr which is fair enough for a compact sedan. The car comes at a price of 6.45lakhs approx. and is really a tough contender to all its competitors.
Therefore, to conclude I would just like to mention that Xcent has got all the rich entertainment features, classy sedan looks and that too backed by the renowned Hyundai's after sales service. So if you are looking for a family sedan with all the premium features, reasonable price and low maintenance cost, then, look no further than Xcent as it has all what every Indian family desires to own in a car.
