Honda City - The Talisman of Honda India

Honda City is a car which has quite a large fan following in India. People love the peppy, revv happy, fun to drive 1.5L i-vtec motor for all its punchy performance and driveability. The v-tec motor is a gem. It is punchy, power packed and couple with a 5-speed manual transmission, it takes you forward quite effortlessly. Refinement is class leading and the car returns around 11-15kmpl which is decent enough. The exteriors are typical Honda-esque with a plain minimalistic design. The interiors looks premium and classy and the fit and finish are good and consistent all around. The beige leather seats lend a premium feel inside. And the most notable thing is you have acres of space inside the car, particularly in the rear seat and this will appeal to the people who are chauffeur driven. Legroom is more than enough for almost everyone and you can seat three abreast without much difficulty. The suspension is well tuned and is comfortable for long rides. The major cone of this car is its outdated infotainment system which lags behind the ones offered in the competition. The screen resolution is not so good and the processor is too slow. Moreover, Android Auto and Apple Carplay are absent in this car which is priced in the higher echelons of the segment. The car is loaded with features that include an electric sunroof, full LED headlamps etc and scores high on safety as well; it offers 6 airbags, ABS with EBD among others. The after sales support has been good so far and the service costs are nearly on par with other cars in the segment. In short
