Honda Amaze New 2018 Model Ready to Take on Maruti Dzire
Honda launched its first ever compact sedan back in the year 2013, thus making the space for itself in one of the most competitive segment in the Indian car market. But over the years, fresh and more advanced new generation models overstepped the Amaze. So, Honda responded quickly to this situation rather waiting for its 6-year lifespan to complete. The company has now already revealed its all-new second-generation model at the Auto Expo and all set to launch it on 16 May 2018. The new vehicle is based on the all-new platform and ditched its Brio-connection completely as seen in the older model. The changes outside are not copious but they do provide the car a new look. The front profile gets the thick chrome radiator grille, fog lamp has been redesigned while the bumper too receives some renovation, appearing like a mini Accord. The headlamp units have been tweaked that appears larger and the bonnet too has been widened as well. The rear part features new tail lights. Coming to its cabin, here is the part we got to see some prominent changes especially the dashboard which is all new. It gets the new dials and buttons, new air conditioning vents and renewed centre console. In terms of inner plastic quality, it has been improved while its instrument cluster is larger and very easily viewable. Some of the other prominent changes in this model and some of them most demanding include 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, cruise control and illuminated start/stop button. Under the hood, its engines are carried from its predecessor, which are tried and tested for excellent performance. The petrol variant is 1.2L i-VTEC mill that can produce the power output of 87bhp and generate the peak torque of 109Nm. While, its diesel version houses 1.5L i-DTEC engine that can pump the power output of 99bhp and yields top torque of 200Nm. The diesel engine is available with CVT along with paddle shifters that makes it the first car to offer this in the segment. Overall, the car has all the right ingredients to counter the rivals. All eyes are on pricing now and it is expected that it might undercut Maruti Dzire. If it does, it would be a big boost for the company.

- Honda Amaze The Big MoveHonda Amaze the big move supports best in a class spacious cabin and legroom which is comfortable for a family of 4 -5. Boot space is best in the segment and very useful while traveling with family or huge luggage. The engine is reliable and punchy but sometimes feels less powerful when running on full AC or with a full load. But that can be managed given the safety features, and NCAP rating of 4. If someone is looking for a family car then go for it without thinking.Read More4 1
- Worst Experience As My First CarI want to share my views about the Honda Amaze VX CVT petrol, top model, purchased on Jan 2021. Pros- 1. Good looking cars in this segment, 2. The end of the bonnet is clearly visible, so it makes driving easy. 3, Mileage is average, not good 12-13kmpl in the city, 15-16 on the highway with AC, Cons- Poor build quality, no insulation for bonnet and dicky, tin quality is poor, CVT transmission is worst in low speed, no pick up at low speed. Not responsive while overtake. seating comfort is worst, very bad thigh support for a tall passenger like me, I'm 6.1 feet tall, rear-seat space also less, no backup light for steering buttons, window control buttons, will find difficult at night drive, music quality is average. Very soft suspension- makes too much body roll, especially rear passenger overall it's not fun to drive a car, especially CVT engine.Read More6 1
- Do Not Buy Honda Amaze If You Care About ThisPlease do not buy Honda Amaze - any words are less to criticize this fraud car - the average mileage is only 12 kmpl. The company says the city average is low. The music interface system is Dabba also has no GPS, have to download a nonsense pale dead app on your phone to connect to the system.Read More4 5
