Great car but sales will fell flat after a while.
Ford Freestyle is a great car in terms of price, features, performance, safety, mileage, ride quality & handling, but unfortunately not so good in space and comfort for which indians give higher importance.
Ford did a great job, almost 90% right but missed out the last 10% which is more critical for indians: Space & Comfort & Style. These 3 parameters ( 4th is the service network/quality) where 90% people will decide a car to buy but these don't go well with this car. Hence I presume that the sales will fall flat after the initial euphoria. Space: Space in rear seats is premium for tall passengers and even the boot space is premium.
Comfort: While front seats are nice, but the problem with rear seats are their fixed headrests, no 60:40 split and less thigh support.
Style: No LED/DRLs/HID even as accessories. No sporty colour options as only plain colours are given.
X-Factor: Indians always look for an X-factor in their car, some thing special. The X-factor for this car are its safety features which can't be seen with naked eyes, but only during crashes. This car has everything except road presence. Some thing like Sun Roof should be given to attract masses. Service : Ford's services are improving, but not in the league of Maruti or Hyundai.
