Pros : Reliability

Cons : Reputation

At the onset Force has outsourced some outdated mercedes engine and installed in on its new SUV Model... Why are Indians more interested in the looks features, etc these things are secondary How safe is this vehicle...has this vehicle passed the International vehicle crash test standards, Rollover standards, frontal crash safety standards...does it have abs and airbags I feel Force one has outsourced an engine which is 10 years behind the current engine technology. How many service centres does it have all india, are the local mechanics able to service the car are the parts freely available

Better to go for XUV 5oo at that price point.

  • Jayant dofey |18 Oct,2011 02:40:31 PM

because XUV is having monobody.. which is dangerous in case of any accident.. so First priority to your life -- so better to go for FORCE ONE SUV TKs

Hi Jayanth. Have you really seen XUV and Force One directly???? I cannot comment on their engines coz i did not test drive them. But regarding the overall car, the XUV clearly beats the Force in Gadgets and quality of interior plastics. The interiors of XUV are blush whereas the Interiors of Force looks very dated. You have to agree with me on these point. I'm not a fan of M&M. I actually love the Safari which has been my dream since my childhood. But after the launch of Aria and XUV, I just got stunned by the quality and price of XUV. Even its design was unique. We can somehow like the exterior design of force one(Which resembles Endevour). But interiors are just far below to compare. Of course it may have a cruise control system and some other goodies, but overall interiors lack that premium feel. And finally, the service. If your car breaks down somewhere, i don't think you'll ever find a guy who is capable of repairing a Merc engine. And surely no service station if broke down in some urban area. As for the engine, i've read many reviews on it stating that it is old by 10yrs. Check force one review by Auto car in you tube. An finally the resale value, i think you need no explanation on it.I'm sorry if you are a fan of 'One'. I just felt that XUV was a far better car.

Chanakya, All new cars are good to is up to the choice and budget of individual...main thing is maintain your car regularly and enjoy the safe drive following all trafic rules...

    suraj |25 Oct,2011 04:59:39 PM

Ajay, why are you bluffing on traffic rules. has it anything to do with review. if in case your car fails in remote areas how do u get it live again is a question. you are advising to maintain one's car.

@ Suraj & @ Chanakya, I am a Scorpio Owner and like all car owners i was so sure about going for another Mahindra Product. Introduction of XUV did enhance my excitement. I Did take a test drive of XUV500, and i found it powerful, and fit n finish is 100 times better than scorpio. Before finalising a deal on XUV my friend suggested to check out Force One... I went to the dealership and i was lucky that i got a test drive the same day.. My concept about Indian SUV's changed like anything.. Space, Comfort, handling Visibility, road presence what not.. Being a Scorpio Owner and a XUV lover.. I just fell for the Force one.. I am sure if you just take your eyes off the Bells and Whistles and look at the performance and comfort.. F1 is Way beyond XUV500.. Least Body Roll, Smooth engine and no sound at all inside the cabin.. 100% great entry by Force. I suggest you guys do a Test Drive.. The only Con side i found in the SUV is the Service Network.. By the way I booked my F1 3 days back. :) Cheerios, Hari

Dear Friends, It is nice to know the trend is slowly shifting from Cars to SUVs. The Auto Expo 2012 have given us a nice vision of future launches. But one thing which very important is the Cumstomer and his satisfaction. Indian manufacturers like TATA and Mahindra never bothered to customer. The present arrogance shown by Mahindra for XUV 500 is going to bounce back on thier head like anything.I belong to Aurangabad, XUV 500 was never launched in Aurangabad then how its booking can close? now Mr Pawan Goenka is saying that there will be draw?? as if there will be more than one lakh booking they have. Let Renult launch their SUVs, Maruti and Leyland will have thier MPVs soon.Force one seems to be very good SUV but thier problem is dealers and service. The engine seems to be excellent but let us wait and watch. If everybody want SUVs then who will buy stunning cars to be launched by Honda, Skoda and many other companies. So let us wait and watch as the more competition more choice would be available to consumers and arrogant manufacturers will soon learn to respect consumers.
