Etios 2013-2014 G Xclusive Edition Review

The Japanese automaker Toyota has silently introduced the Xclusive edition of its flagship sedan Toyota Etios and it has been made available with both petrol and diesel engine options. Here, the Xclusive edition features are offered with the mid range “G” variants. The new Toyota Etios G Xclusive Edition petrol trim comes with a set of new features both inside and out that makes this sedan more alluring. The technical specifications and the mechanism of this sedan remains entirely the same as the rest of the petrol variants in its model lineup. This petrol model is powered by the same 4 cylinder, 16 valve, DOHC based 1.5-litre engine, which is very powerful and reliable in the segment. On the other hand, its engine has been paired with a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox. The all new Toyota Etios Xclusive Edition comes with aspects like an advanced 2-DIN music system with Bluetooth connectivity based audio system with remote, 2-Tone premium interiors, Xclusive badge on the boot lid, chrome garnish for headlight cluster, radiator grille ORVM caps and taillight cluster. The company is currently offering only 900 units across the country. On the other hand, this new limited edition trim is made available in two color shades which are Symphony Silver and Classic Grey.

Exteriors :

The exterior design of the new Toyota Etios G Xclusive Edtion trim is the same as the rest of its models but the new Xclusive badging and attractive color shades makes it look alluring. This sedan looks very compact in its design, but it is bigger and quite spacious from inside. Coming to its appearance, its front facade is very attractive and it is dominated by premium chrome radiator grille that is incorporated with prominent company logo. It received the same headlight clusters as they were in the existing variants but it gets a chrome treatment. The bumper is very simple and it has been designed with an air dam and has been coated in body color. The side profile of this sedan is blessed with 15 inch steel wheels fitted to the wheel arches and they have been covered with full wheel caps . The side profile is further fitted with chrome plated ORVMs, and body colored door handles along with protection moldings. The rear profile of this sedan is blessed with stylish taillight clusters, which has a chrome treatment. Here you can also notice the Xclusive Edition badging that adds exclusiveness the rear profile.

Interiors :

The all new Toyota Etios G Xclusive Edition comes with special features out of which, most of them have been offered inside the car. Its cabin has been blessed with two tone premium interiors along with new premium seat fabric upholstery that brings a fresh new look. There is a three spoke steering wheel, which is fitted with chrome plated company logo in the center. The dashboard too gets a dual tone look and it houses a stylish instrument cluster, which is completely unique in comparison to the other sedan models. Most of the features offered with this Xclusive trim are same as the mid range “G” trim in its model lineup. Inside its cabin you can notice features including 7-Bottle holders, front and rear door pockets, driver and passenger sun visor, chrome accented gearshift knob, a remote fuel lid and tailgate opener and several other features. These functions makes the interior cabin section more comfortable and luxurious. With these Xclusive edition features, Toyota is going to lure the car enthusiasts across the country.

Engine and Performance :

Coming to the engine and its specifications, this Toyota Etios G Xclusive Edition trim is blessed with the same 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, 16-valve DOHC based petrol engine that has the displacement capacity of about 1496cc . This engine is very powerful that unleashes a power of about 88.8bhp at 5600rpm and yields 132Nm of peak torque output at 3000rpm. This advanced engine has been skilfully coupled with a high performance 5-speed manual transmission gearbox . The front wheels of this sedan derives the power from the engine through this 5-speed manual gearbox and returns a mileage of about 16.78 Kmpl . This engine has an ability to deliver high power and great performance. However, the fuel efficiency is not up to the mark.

Braking and Handling :

The all new Toyota Etios G Xclusive Edition mid range trim is blessed with the same disc and drum braking combination . The front wheels have been fitted with the reliable disc brakes, while the rear wheels have been equipped with high performance drum brakes. This braking combination functions exceptionally well in all conditions and avails stress-free driving experience. On the other hand, its front axle is bestowed with McPherson Strut type of suspension, while the rear axle is blessed with Torsion Beam type of suspension system that takes care about the drive comforts, dynamics and agility. Handling this sedan is as simple as any other model because of the high responsive power assisted steering system.

Comfort Features :

This newly launched Toyota Etios G Xclusive Edition trim comes with the same features like those in its mid range version. Also there are few Xclusive Edition features have been added to this trim that makes it luxurious. The new features includes an advanced Bluetooth audio system with remote control, new premium seat fabric and two tone premium interiors. Apart from these features, this sedan also comes with a list of exciting features including air conditioner with heater and clean air filter, power windows with driver side auto down function, electric power steering with tilt function, cooled glove box facility, front cabin lights, adjustable front headrest, internally adjustable ORVMs , front power outlet and several other mind blowing features.

Safety Features :Coming to the safety features, the new Toyota Etios G Xclusive Edition has been made available with standard safety and protective functions. This sedan comes with an engine immobilizer system that prevents unauthorized entry in to the vehicle, a key less entry system, a central locking system along with a door ajar warning system. All these are basic that assures minimum security to the car.
