Tata Motors has launched the 2013 Tata Nano variants in the Indian car market. This small car series is being offered in three trims, which are the entry level Tata Nano STD, then Tata Nano CX  and the top end Tata Nano LX for the buyers to choose from. This small car series was first launched in year 2009 and since then have been doing impressive sales for the company. This latest 2013 Tata Nano series have been upgraded to make it look more stylish with some chrome accents on the outsides. There have been quite a few other changes to the exteriors as well, which are now looking more refined and trendy. The interiors of this small car lineup has also received some changes, which will certainly be liked by the customers and give a refreshing new look. The mid level trim of this newly launched 2013 model series is the Tata Nano CX and the company has bestowed this latest entrant with some superb features. The impressive aspects which have been added to this 2013 Tata Nano series are exterior chrome elements, a robust set of steel wheels covered with radial tyres, dual glove boxes to store quite a few things in it and also a music system with speakers along with many other such wonderful features. This new 2013 Tata Nano model lineup is also acclaimed to be one of the most fuel efficient small car series in the country with an impressive mileage and a peppy engine.

Exteriors:

The Tata Nano CX trim has been bestowed with some outstanding exterior features, which will certainly astound the customers. The front facade of this small car is stylishly done up with a smart bonnet that has quite a lot of chrome treatment and is surrounded by a big head light cluster that is equipped with high intensity clear lens lamps along with the side turn blinkers . Below the bonnet is a small air dam on the black colored bumper. The tinted front wind screen is quite large and is fitted with front washing and wiping system that has a 2 speed wiper . This latest small car has an overall length of 3099mm along with a total height of 1495mm, which is without the inclusion of the external rear view mirrors. The overall height of this small car is 1652mm, while it has a good wheel base of 2230mm. This small car has a minimum ground clearance of 180mm along with a minimum turning radius of 4 meters.

Interiors:

The insides of this small car are done up elegantly, which will definitely surprise the buyers. The seating arrangement is quite comfortable with well cushioned seats, which have been covered with premium trendy sporty black fabric upholstery . The door pads and trim have been covered with black fabric and vinyl upholstery. The dashboard gets an Ebony black color scheme, while the center fascia is finished in a modish silver dust metallic finish . The complete roof lining of this trim is premium polyester fabric upholstery, which gives this small car a very fashionable look. The instrument cluster is brightly illuminated and has quite a number of notification lamps and several other such notifications. This small car gets a very responsive 3-spoke steering wheel as well, which helps in the handling of this car. This small car also has a boot space of 80 litres without folding the rear seat, but this can increase to about 500 litres with the seat folded to accommodate quite a few things in it.

Engine and Performance:

The company has fitted this Tata Nano CX with an energetic 624cc petrol mill . This lively engine has been equipped with two cylinders and it also has the highly acclaimed multi point fuel injection (MPFI) supply system as well. This power train has the ability to churn out a peak power output of 37.24bhp at 5500rpm in combination with a maximum torque yield of 51Nm at 4000rpm. This petrol motor is skillfully coupled with a smooth and proficient 4 forward and 1 reverse manual transmission gear box.

Braking and Handling:

This trim has been fitted with an efficient braking system along with a well balanced suspension mechanism as well. The front as well as the rear wheels has been fitted with drum brakes for competent braking of this small car on any road conditions. The company has fitted a dual circuit type of a brake along with a vertical split that is operated by a tandem master cylinder , which also has a vacuum booster. On the other hand, the front axle of this Tata Nano CX has been fitted with an independent suspension mechanism that has a lower wish bone and a McPherson strut, which also has gas filled dampers along with an anti roll bar as well. Whereas, the rear axle gets an independent semi trailing arm with a coil spring, which also gas filled shock absorbers as well. All these mechanisms put together ensure that this small car is perfectly under control of the driver.

Safety Features:

The company has fitted this latest 2013 Tata Nano CX with some very crucial and essential safety aspects, which will make sure that the passengers and the car is secure. The list of these protective features includes tubeless radial tyres, a rear center high mounted stop lamp, laminated wind screen, a door lock on the driver side, booster assisted brakes for efficient braking, front and rear seat belts for added protection of the passengers, additional body reinforcements  and also an intrusion beam, which is an integral feature through an innovative door system design. Comfort Features:

This Tata Nano CX is the mid level trim in the model lineup and the company has bestowed it with most of their best in class and incredible comfort functions. The list includes a commanding air conditioning unit, a basic gear shift console , a cabin lamp, a map pocket behind the driver as well as the front co-passenger seat with a fabric pocket, front seat head rests, a sun visor each for the driver as well as the front co-passenger, integrated rear seat head rests , the driver as well as the front passenger seat has a slider and can be reclined back, front and rear assist grips, a low fuel warning lamp, rear seat can be folded, head lamp leveling function, which is an integral feature through an innovative suspension design. Pros:  Exteriors are revamped, internal features are decent, mileage is good.

Cons:  Internal space is quite less, engine can be more powerful.
