The much awaited sedan, Maruti Ciaz has made its entry in the country's car market in both diesel and petrol versions. It comes in a few variants out of which, Maruti Ciaz ZDi Option is a high end diesel trim. It is powered by a 1.3-litre diesel mill that has variable geometry turbocharger. It can produce a healthy mileage of 26.21 Kmpl, which is quite good. It belts out a peak power of 88.5bhp in combination with 200Nm torque output. Its internal cabin is quite appealing that includes a lot of sophisticated aspects. It includes a dual tone dashboard, multifunction steering wheel, air conditioning system, power windows and an advanced infotainment system that keeps its passengers entertained throughout their journey. On the other hand, its robust body structure is fitted with some striking exterior aspects like projector headlamps, chrome plated radiator grille, rear demister and a set of 16 inch alloy wheels. This trim is loaded with many safety features like central locking system, reverse parking sensors, dual front airbags and some other features. It will compete with Volkswagen Vento, Honda City, Skoda Rapid and a few others in this segment. The company is offering it in seven attractive color options for the buyers to choose from. The list includes Pearl Snow White, Metallic Silky Silver, Pearl Metallic Dignity Brown, Metallic Glistening Gray, Pearl Sangria Red, Metallic Clear Beige and Pearl Midnight Black as well. It has 24 months or 40,000 kilometers standard warranty whichever is earlier and this period can be increased for another one or two years at an additional cost.

Exteriors:

The front facade has a bold radiator grille that is treated with a lot of chrome and engraved with a logo of the company in its center. This grille is surrounded by a trendy looking headlight cluster that is integrated with projector headlamps. The windscreen is wide and integrated with a pair of intermittent wipers. There are a few visible character lines on its bonnet which gives it an attractive look. The frontage also includes a body colored bumper that includes a couple of fog lamps and an air dam, which cools the engine in no time. The rear end looks decent with a bright tail light cluster, boot lid with company's emblem and a large windshield. It also has a body colored bumper along with a pair of reflectors. Coming to its side profile, it has external mirrors with side turn indicators as well as chrome door handles. Engine and Performance:

The manufacturer has bestowed it with a 1.3-litre diesel engine that has the ability to displace 1248cc. It carries four cylinders, 16 valves and is based on a dual overhead camshaft valve configuration. This motor is integrated with a common rail direct injection system and skillfully paired with a five speed manual transmission gear box. As claimed by the company, it can produce a mileage of 26.21 Kmpl when driven on bigger roads. It can generate a maximum power of 88.5bhp at 4000rpm in combination with torque output of 200Nm at 1750rpm. This vehicle can attain a top speed of around 155 Kmph and breaks the 100 Kmph speed mark in 15 to 16 seconds.

Braking and Handling:

The high end trim has a set of ventilated disc brakes fitted to its front wheels and the rear ones are equipped with solid drum brakes. It is further assisted by anti-lock braking system that improves this mechanism. The suspension system is quite efficient wherein, its front axle is affixed with a McPherson strut and a torsion beam is used for the rear ones. This sedan is blessed with a power assisted steering wheel that is tilt adjustable and makes handling quite convenient.

Comfort Features:

This Maruti Ciaz ZDi Option variant is available with a number of comfort aspects that gives its passengers an enjoyable driving experience. For in-car entertainment, it has an advanced audio unit with a CD, MP3 player, auxiliary input and USB port along with six speakers as well. The cabin includes an automatic air conditioning unit along with dust and pollen filter that helps in regulating the temperature inside.
