Mahindra Verito sedan also known as the ‘Poor man’s sedan’ is one of the most popular cars by the car maker. The firm had introduced this sedan in both diesel as well as in the petrol engine options. The Mahindra Verito 1.5 D2 BSIII is the base diesel variant in the range. The car price is kept economical and affordable for any aspiring car consumer. Under the bonnet of this variant, you would find the 1.5-litre dCi CRDi diesel engine, which is capable of churning out maximum power output of 65bhp along with a maximum torque of 160Nm. The engine has been coupled with the regular 5-speed manual transmission, which makes the mileage figure quite impressive. The car manages to give out 17 to 21 kmpl of fuel economy. This powerful engine has the capacity to churn out a maximum power output of 65bhp at 4000 rpm in combination with a peak torque yield of 160Nm at 2000 rpm. A smooth 5-speed manual transmission has been coupled with the engine, which provides a very commendable driving experience to the driver. This Mahindra Verito model has the capacity to cross 100 kmph speed mark from zero in 18.4 seconds and has a top speed of 144 kmph . The mileage lands around 17 kmpl on the heavy traffic city roads, and 21 kmpl on the smooth highways .

Braking and Handling

It is very important for a car to have a strong braking system and keeping this in mind Mahindra and Mahindra has fitted Mahindra Verito 1.5 D2 BSIII with a sound braking as well as a robust suspension system.
