Mahindra and Mahindra is well known for manufacturing sports utility vehicles. With Mahindra Verito sedan it proved that it can do well even in the sedan segment of the Indian car market as well. Recently, the Mahindra Verito’s facelift version was launched in the country. Mahindra and Mahindra basically worked upon the exteriors and interiors of the car. The engine and other technical specification have been untouched. The new Mahindra Verito gives a very muscular and sports feel with its refresh exteriors, which are complemented by the restyled and comfortable interiors. Just as before, Mahindra Verito Facelift has also been introduced with diesel and petrol engine options. Mahindra Verito 1.4 G4 is the petrol variant of the car that sports 1.4L MPFI engine producing 75HP of power along with 110Nm of maximum torque. The engine is coupled with the five speed manual transmission that helps the car to deliver a decent mileage figure of 11.3 to 15.7 km per litre. The smooth drive provides the driver a soothing and awesome driving experience. The safety department in Mahindra Verito 1.4 G4 is also well taken care of. In its entirety, the brand new Mahindra Verito 1.4 G4 is one of the most remarkable sedans available in the Indian car market today. Exteriors

Mahindra Verito 1.4 G4 is a beautiful looking sedan and its exteriors are muscular and sophisticated at the same time. M&M’s top design engineers have worked hard on the looks of the car and made it an impressive one. When looking at Mahindra Verito 1.4 G4 from the front, the chrome plating on front grille with eyebrow headlamps would attract you the most. The front bumper has been made into a much boxier shape giving it a very sporty feel. Coming to the side profile of Mahindra Verito 1.4 G4, you would notice the body colored handles and body colored ORVMs. The wheels come with full covers and the side cladding is in black color along with roof rails in the similar color. Finally the rear end of the new Mahindra Verito 1.4 G4 has been done with utter carefulness and is blessed with new and fresh tail lights, rear appliqué with chrome, stylized boot lid and high mounted third brake light. Interiors

The interiors of the freshly launched Mahindra Verito 1.4 G4 variant look exciting and sophisticated. Although, the firm hasn’t done many changes inside; but it has still manage to give it a fresh and new look. This sedan has become slightly more luxurious than its older version. The car has new door and grab handles along with new upholstery for the seats. The two-tone instrumental panel, ergonomic controls and centre console features Variometeric AC controls take the sedan interiors to a higher level .

Engine and Performance

Brand new Mahindra Verito 1.4 G4 features strong and power petrol engine as before. The car has been revamped as far as the interiors and exteriors of the sedan are concerned. But, under the hood scenario of the new Mahindra Verito G2 has been kept same as before. The engine in Mahindra Verito 1.4 G4 comprise of 1.4L MPFI petrol with a displacement of 1390cc . The engine is vibrant and aggressive and has the knack to generate peak power of 75HP at the rate of 5500rpm with 110Nm of maximum torque at the rate of 3000rpm. Mahindra and Mahindra has put in its mind and united the engine with five speed manual transmission, which pushes the sedan to a new height and help it to deliver a good mileage of 11.3kmpl in the city and 15.7kmpl of fuel economy on the highway. Mahindra Verito 1.4 G4 has is also a striking performer on road. When accelerated, the engine has a top speed of 152km per hour and takes up 15.8 seconds to reach from 0 to 100 km per hour speed mark . Overall, the engine and mileage of the new Mahindra Verito 1.4 G4 is not a disappointment at all.

Braking and handling

The braking and handling of the new Mahindra Verito 1.4 G4 variant is imposing. The responsive and sturdy braking system this sedan consists of front disc brakes along with drum brakes for the rear . The handling of the car is taken a couple of notches higher with its superb suspension system. The front suspension system of new Mahindra Verito 1.4 G4 sedan sports McPherson Strut with wishbone link type, while the rear suspension system type is the H-Section Torsion Beam with programmed deflection coil spring. The gear shifting is smooth and hassle-free and the power steering further boosts the handling of this sedan.

Safety features

The safety department of Mahindra Verito 1.4 G4 sedan is up to date. However, there is no anti lock braking system and electronic brake assist, but it still manages to provide decent safety features. these comprise of headlight leveling device, collapsible steering column,  head restraints (front and rear), adjustable front seat belts, anti theft engine immobilizer, cchild proof rear door locks, electrical rear window child lock, prismatic day and night rear view mirror, halogen headlamps, and laminated windshield.

Comfort features

The comfort features in the new Mahindra Verito 1.4 G4 are made a bit lavish as compared to the older Verito. There has been a substantial improvement in the comfort departmemet of the sedan. The Mahindra Verito 1.4 G4 variant comes with air conditioner, internally adjustable ORVMS via cable, central locking system, cabin heater , head restraints (front and rear), front door map pocket, trunk room light, fuel lid operated automatically, power steering and boot opener. The ample of boor storage space make long trip easy and comfortable in the sedan. Also, Mahindra has made the rear seat roomier and blessed the rear seat passengers with more legroom. All these swanky comfort features in Verito G4 make the car impressive. Sadly, Mahindra Verito 1.4 G4 has also missed out features such as power windows, 2-DIN music system, internally adjustable ORVMs and so on.
