Grand i10 2013-2016 Magna Review
The South Korean auto giant and the India's second largest auto maker, Hyundai has officially rolled out the brand new hatchback model Hyundai Grand i10. Hyundai has rolled out this new hatchback model in four petrol and four diesel variants out of which Hyundai Grand i10 Magna is the mid range petrol trim. This new hatchback has been placed between the Hyundai i10 and i20 models in this segment. The design of this hatchback represents the sleek and fluidic style of the brand Hyundai that stole the hearts of many in the automobile segment. This mid range petrol variant has been introduced with a 1.2-litre Kappa dual VTVT petrol mill under the hood. The company claims that this hatchback can produce an outstanding mileage of about 18.9 Kmpl. This hatchback comes with a very competitive price tag that would send a clear signal to the other manufacturers in the segment about the competition. In terms of interior design, Hyundai Grand i10 shares some of the design cues of existing version of Hyundai i10. Also, this mid level trim has been offered with some exciting features inside that pays complete value for money. This hatchback will be placed against the likes of Nissan Micra, Renault Pulse, Maruti Ritz among others in the hatchback segment.
Exteriors:
This Hyundai Grand i10 model series is the latest hatchback model introduced in the automobile markets and it is blessed with pretty attractive exterior and body design. The company shared the design elements of the Hyundai i20 and i10 models and obtained a fresh new look for the Hyundai Grand i10. On its front facade, you can see the sleek and bold headlight cluster that incorporates powerful headlamps and side turn indicators. This headlight cluster compliments the chrome garnished radiator grille, which is small in size and houses a chrome plated company logo. Under this radiator grille, there is a large air dam in the body colored bumper. This bumper also comes fitted with a pair of fog lamps that adds more elegance to its front facade. The side profile of this hatchback is very sleek and it is beautifully equipped with body colored door handles and external rear view mirrors. The doors are further fitted with black colored moldings that guards this hatch from minor damages. The wheel arches have been assembled with 14 inch steel wheels, which are further covered with full wheel covers. The rear end of this hatch looks much identical to the Hyundai Eon hatch with beautifully designed tail lights, boot lid and an wide windshield. The boot lid and the bumper has been painted in body colored while the company logo is coated in chrome.
Interiors:
Coming to the interior cabin section, the Hyundai Grand i10 Magna mid range trim is blessed with a plush interior cabin. The company used dual tone beige and black interior key color scheme inside the cabin along with blue interior illumination that makes it look rich and elegant. This mid range variant offers impressive comfort and conveniences to the passengers and assures joyful driving experience. Its interior cabin has been integrated with a slew of utility and convenience aspects that will take care of the basic needs. The company used premium fabric upholstery to cover the well cushioned and wide seats. Inside this hatch, you can find the beautifully design dashboard that hosts several utility and comfort features including a powerful air conditioner unit, a bright instrument cluster, AC vents and so on. This dashboard also gets the dual toned look, which is further enhancing the beauty inside the car. When it comes to the cabin space, there is an ample head room, shoulder space and leg room available that promises comfortable seating for at least five passengers. The company built this hatch with an impressive wheelbase of 2425mm that is reason for ample space inside the cabin.
Engine and Performance:
This all new Hyundai Grand i10 Magna is the mid range petrol variant in its lineup and it is powered by 1.2-litre Kappa Dual VTVT petrol engine. This Kappa Dual petrol mill comes with a displacement capacity of about 1197cc and incorporated with four cylinders and 16 valves. This allows the engine to release a maximum power of 81.9bhp at 6000rpm while yielding a maximum 113.75Nm of torque at 4000rpm. On the other hand, this DOHC based petrol mill has been skillfully mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox that delivers the power to the front wheels and returns 18.9 Kmpl of maximum mileage.
Braking and Handling:
Hyundai's latest hatchback model Hyundai Grand i10 is offered with traditional disc and drum braking mechanism, which is highly reliable at all times. The company equipped disc brakes to the front wheels of this hatch while fitting the rear wheels with drum brakes . As far as handling is concerned, it is truly simple to handle this hatch, especially in the city traffic. It is blessed with motor driven electric power steering system that offers instant response and helps you to manage the traffic easily. On the other hand, the suspension system is robust that ensures the stability and agility of the hatch even at high speed. The front axle comes fitted with McPherson Strut type of suspension, while the rear axle is blessed with coupled torsion beam axle suspension mechanism. This mechanism is further enhanced by the gas type shock absorbers for all the wheels.

This newly launched Hyundai Grand i10 Magna is the mid range petrol model introduced by the South Korean auto giant. This trim is blessed with all the basic and standard features along with few exciting features. The list of features include manual AC with heater, door map pockets , a tachometer, front room lamps, a motor driven (electric) power steering system, a front power outlet, a multi-information display, front and rear power windows, electrically adjustable ORVMs, front passenger seat back pocket and so on. Also this hatchback trim comes with features including a passenger vanity mirror, a rear parcel tray, a luggage area lamp, rear AC vent and so on.

As far as the safety features are concerned, this Hyundai Grand i10 Magna mid range trim is offered with a few of the most important safety aspects that keeps the car protected all the time. The company has designed a strong and rigid body, which will take care of the safety of all the occupants sitting inside. It is offered with comfort features including an engine immobilizer, a central locking system, a pair of front fog lamps and standard key less entry.
