CR V 2.4L 4WD AT AVN Review
Honda CR V is a luxurious SUV model produced by HCIL in the country's automobile market. This vehicle is available in four trim levels among which, the Honda CR V 2.4L 4WD AT AVN is the top end variant. This SUV is powered by a 2.4-litre petrol power plant, which is capable of producing 187.4bhp along with a peak torque of 226Nm. This top end variant is packed with sophisticated equipments including an intelligent audio video navigation system that features a 6.1-inch touchscreen and a navigation system. This SUV is equipped with an advanced ECO assist system featuring an ECON mode, which adjusts the performance of its engine and reduces the fuel consumption. It comes with a huge internal cabin, which can host seating for at least five passengers. The interiors are done up with premium sienna beige color scheme, which is further emphasized by metallic inserts. The best part about this vehicle is its elegantly structured exteriors owing to the attractive features like HID headlamps, stylish alloy wheels, shark-fin antenna and electric sunroof. Apart from these, the car maker is offering an optional “Inspire Package”, which features several styling aspects like tailgate spoiler, door visors with chrome, side step garnish and running board. This trim comes with an attractive body structure that is decorated with stylish cosmetics. To start with its front, it has a chrome plated radiator grille designed with three horizontally positioned slats and a company's insignia. Surrounding this is the large headlight cluster featuring HID projector headlamps and turn indicators. Its bumper comes in dual tone scheme and has a sleek air intake section along with a pair of round shaped fog lamps. Coming to the side profile, its has protective body claddings all over, which gives a rugged style to the sides. Its wheel arches have been fitted with a set of 17-inch alloy wheels that are covered with 225/65 R17 sized tubeless radial tyres . Its door external wing mirrors are in body color, while the door handles and the window sill are garnished in chrome. The rear profile has a boxy design, but it still looks attractive, thanks to the elegantly crafted taillight cluster and a boot lid. This lid is affixed with a chrome plated applique along with company's badge, which gives a swanky look to the rear. Its two tone bumper is equipped with a chrome plated exhaust pipe along with a pair of reflectors. This vehicle comes in five body paint options including Golden Brown metallic, Carnelian Red Pearl, Urban Titanium Metallic, Alabaster Silver Metallic and Taffeta White.
Interiors:
This Honda CR V 2.4L 4WD AT AVN is a five seater trim, which comes with a large cabin and storage space. Its interiors are done up with Sienna Beige dual tone color scheme. The driver seat has a 8-way power adjustable function along with lumbar support, while the rear seats have 60:40 split folding facility. These seats have been covered with leather upholstery, which emphasizes the luxury of its interiors. The front seats have a sliding armrest, while the rear seats have a center armrest featuring two cup holders. Engine and Performance:
Powering this variant is the 2.4-litre, i-VTEC petrol mill that is based on dual overhead camshaft valve configuration. It has four cylinders and each of which have four valves that displaces 2354cc . This engine is incorporated with programmed fuel injection system, which enables it to produce a mileage of 12 Kmpl. This power plant can produce a maximum power of 187.4bhp at 7000rpm that results in a peak torque output of 226Nm at just 4400rpm. All the four wheels will draw the torque output through a five speed automatic transmission gearbox, which is incorporated with 'Realtime 4WD' mechanism.
Braking and Handling:
All the four wheels have been equipped with a set of disc brakes, which are assisted by anti lock braking system in combination with electronic brake force distribution . As far as the suspension is concerned, it comes with McPherson strut front and double wishbone type of system at rear axle. It is further accompanied by coil springs and torsion stabilizers, which reinforces its stability. In addition to these, this SUV also comes with an electric power assisted steering that offers excellent response depending upon the level of speed and makes handling simpler.
Comfort Features:
The Honda CR V 2.4L 4WD AT AVN is the top end variant and is equipped with numerous advanced aspects. The list includes an electric sun roof, an independent dual zone automatic air conditioning system, leather seating upholstery, all four power windows with one touch operation, 8-way power adjustable driver's seat, rear center armrest with two cup holders, jack knife key and sun glass holder. This trim also comes with an AVN system featuring a 6.1-inch touchscreen along with a WMA/MP3 player, an FM/AM radio and has ports for iPod and USB devices. Also, it comes with Bluetooth connectivity including Hands-free telephone module with steering mounted illuminated switches. This trim also comes with a cruise control system and paddle shifters, which provides enhanced conveniences to the driver.
Safety Features:
This top end variant comes with G-CON force control technology along with ACE body structure , which absorbs most of the impact caused in case of a collision, thereby it protects the passengers. This trim is equipped with a list of features including dual SRS airbags, side and curtain airbags, vehicle stability assist, ABS with EBD, collapsible steering wheel, hill start assist and other advanced features.
