BMW Group India has officially launched the GT variant of its premium sedan model BMW 3 Series. This new variant is christened as BMW 3 Series GT 320d Luxury line and it is powered by a 4-cylinder, 2.0-litre diesel power plant that is paired with an advanced 8-speed steptronic automatic transmission gearbox. This particular sedan comes with advanced aspects such as servotronic steering assist system and BMW driving experience controls with three modes such as comfort, ECOPRO and Sport. These aspects will provide a wonderful driving experience by improving the driving dynamics of this four wheeler. The company has launched this new variant at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo held at New Delhi. This particular variant is being offered with BMW's signature Luxury line design aspects. These features include chrome plated radiator grille, side window frames, tailpipe and several such aspects. It also includes a car key with pearl gloss chrome trim and door sills embedded with “BMW Luxury” lettering. Apart from these, this vehicle also comes with advanced BMW efficient dynamics that features an automatic start/stop function and brake energy regeneration function, which will improve the overall performance of the engine. By launching this luxury vehicle, the company has expanded its India portfolio, which will help it to strengthen its market share in the luxury car segment.

The newly introduced trim comes with a unique body structure unlike the rest of the sedans in its model series. From the side facet, it comes with the design elements of a crossover and a sports coupe, which makes it look unique from conventional models. Here the wheel arches of this premium sedan have been assembled with 18-inch multi-spoke styled alloy wheels that bring an elegant look to the sides . The rear profile of this sedan is unique, thanks to its high stance that gives it an impeccable look. The bumper comes with two tone look with a couple of chrome plated exhaust pipes fitted under the cladding. The front profile of this sedan comes with a signature kidney bean shaped radiator grille with a lot of chrome embellishment. The bumper at the front comes with a unique design that provides better air intake for engine cooling and adds to the rugged appeal of this vehicle. The manufacturer is offering this luxury vehicle in a total of five exterior paint options such as Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Glacier Silver, Imperial Blue with Brilliant metallic effect , and a Sparkling Brown with metallic shade.

The interiors of this variant comes with exclusive Luxury Line design aspects that makes the interiors look plush. As part of the Luxury line features, it comes with exclusive chrome embellishments in central console area and on the entry sills with “BMW Luxury” embossed on it. The interior of this vehicle comes with Fine wood trim Fineline Anthracite with pearl chrome highlights. The cockpit is fitted with luxurious seats for driver and co passenger, which can be adjusted electrically. The company covered these seats with high quality Dakota leather upholstery. Engine and Performance:

The newly introduced BMW 3 Series GT 320d Luxury Line trim comes equipped with a 4-cylinder 2.0-litre twin power turbo diesel engine that has 1995cc of displacement capacity . This diesel motor has the ability to produce a maximum power output of about 184bhp at 4000rpm while yielding a maximum torque output of about 380Nm at just 1750 to 2750rpm. This commanding torque output is distributed to the rear wheels through an advanced 8-speed steptronic auto transmission gearbox. The manufacturer claims that the vehicle can achieve a top speed of about 235 Kmph, while breaking the 100 Kmph speed barrier from a standstill in just 7.9 seconds. On the other hand, this twin-power turbo diesel motor can return a maximum mileage of 19.59 Kmpl, which is quite good.

Braking and Handling:

The company has fitted all the four wheels of this sedan with a set of highly robust disc brakes that ensures precise stopping of the vehicle.
