Latest Update: The Mahindra BE.09 will be the carmaker’s flagship electric offering and could also be its global EV. Hence, it will offer the most performance and pack the latest technology while also being equipped with the largest battery pack of the lot. The potential Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5-rival will be underpinned by Mahindra’s new INGLO platform, capable of accommodating batteries of 60kWh and 80kWh, with a fast charge capacity of up to 175kW. The larger battery claims a WLTP-certified range of up to 450km. The new platform will be suitable for both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD), while the electric powertrains will offer up to 285PS for RWD models and up to 394PS in AWD models. The new Mahindra EVs will share components, like battery packs and motors, from the VW MEB platform.
