Latest update: Hyundai is possibly developing an N version of the i20 hatchback and we believe it is riding on the platform that will underpin the next-gen i20. Read in detail about it here. The carmaker is expected to bring the next-gen i20 with more features and slightly bigger proportions in mid-2020 with BSVI engines.
Variants and Prices: The 2018 Elite i20 is currently priced between Rs 5.42 lakh and Rs 7.98 lakh for the petrol models while the diesel models are priced between Rs 6.81 lakh and Rs 9.23 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). There are 5 variants on offer: Era, Magna Executive, Sportz, Asta and Asta(O).
Engine, transmission and mileage: The Hyundai Elite i20 is offered with two engine choices: a 1.2-litre petrol unit that produces 83PS/115Nm and a diesel unit that produces 90PS/220Nm. The petrol engine is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission with a CVT automatic option while the diesel is paired to a 6-speed manual transmission.
Features: The 2018 Elite i20 is well equipped with features like automatic climate control with rear AC vents, electrically folding and adjustable ORVMs, automatic projector headlamps with LED DRLs and cornering lamps, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink, and rear parking camera with sensors. Safety features like ABS with EBD and dual front airbags are offered as standard while the top-spec variant also gets side and curtain airbags as well as ISOFIX seat anchors.
