Honda Zero SUV expert overview
Overview
Honda has been planning to expand its Indian portfolio for a while and the plans involve launching its new-generation of EV concepts showcased at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 One of these EVs is the Honda 0 SUV concept which will be brought to the Indian market as a CBU (completely built up) import.
The production ready version of this concept can hit Indian shores by the end of 2027 and it will rival the likes of the Tesla Model Y and Kia EV6.
Exterior
The design of the Honda 0 SUV concept is unique to say the least due to its extended rear end. But, the rest of the design is just as attention grabbing.
The face gets a width spanning gloss black panel which houses an illuminated Honda logo along with the headlamps and five stacks of pixel-like DRLs. The bumper protrudes outwards just enough to look like an extended body kit, and the rest of the face gives a very minimalistic vibe.
On the sides, you get flush fitting door handles, chunky door cladding, and a smooth curve from the A to the C pillar. The charging flap is placed on the front left fender near the door and the large alloy wheels get a dual-tone finish. A highlight definitely has to be the massive C-pillar that gives it a properly minimalist look. All these design elements can make it to the final production ready version.
The rear end takes this design to another level with a U shaped lighting pattern that surrounds the rear windshield. This is complemented by a muscular bumper that gives the rear end of this concept car an unique look.
Interior
The concept of the Honda 0 SUV gets a dual-tone black and white cabin where the dashboard is finished in the former and the seats in the latter. The dashboard houses a yoke steering wheel and there are slim ambient lighting strips all over the cabin to give it a premium look. Keen eyed viewers will also notice that the dashboard is dominated by massive screens.
You can expect leatherette seats, soft touch materials on the dashboard and doors, adjustable headrests for all 5 passengers, and centre armrests in the front and in the back. Based on the limited cabin images, it can also get some gloss back and chrome elements in the centre console.
Features
Features
While the details of the feature list hasn’t yet been revealed, based on the cabin images we can tell you that Honda is planning to offer a three screen setup. This setup will consist of a large central touchscreen, a digital driver’s display, and a front passenger screen. In addition to that, you get two screens for the ORVMs, since there are cameras on the outside instead of physical ORVMs.
It is also expected to get a large glass roof, cruise control, multiple zones of climate control, a wireless phone charger, powered front seats and more
Safety
While Honda hasn’t revealed the entire list of safety features, it has confirmed that the Honda 0 will come with level-3 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) with self-driving capabilities. In addition to that, it is also expected to get the usual kit such as multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, and electronic stability control (ESC).
Performance
Honda has not confirmed any details about its battery pack and range, and everything is still a speculation. However, you can expect a range of around 500 km and a 15-80 percent charging time of 10 to 15 minutes.
