Hyundai Getz, the oldest premium hatchback of India which is currently struggling with continuously lowering sales in the country, is all set to be phased-out from company's portfolio in India. According to market watchers, the company now wants to fully concentrate on its other popular cars of this segment like Hyundai i20, which is receiving an overwhelming response from the Indian buyers.

The Indian auto industry has registered a record braking sales jump in the month of March as against the sales in the same month of last fiscal. All Major automobile companies including Maruti, Hyundai, Tata, Honda , Mahindra & Mahindra, General Motors, Ford and Fiat have registered a high jump in their sales of March.

Hyundai India, country's largest car maker has decided to phase-out its Getz model from the county. The Getz will be replaced by Hyundai i20 model which is already available in market. The Hyundai Getz has already been phased-out in overseas markets but as new emission norms are going to be implemented in India from 1st of April the company has decided to discontinue with it. The sales of the Hyundai Getz is downward slopping since last few months and after the launch of Hyundai i20, Indian buyers are preferring to buy i20 over Getz as it has all new generation features and a unique design.
