During the rainy season, people who have cars have to face many troubles if they do not prepare them before hand. Tyres: India is amongst those nations that experience all the four seasons. Therefore, it is important that you have those tyres that can perform well during the pondering weather. Wet weather tyres are specially designed to do well during such kind of conditions. A good wet weather tyre can expel the rain water by its tread from the contact area of the road. Make sure that the tread is at least 1.6mm deep, the greater the depth, the better the ability to evict water.
Wipers and Washer: The blades of the wiper has a habit of wearing out quite often. Within a year, the rubber strip worns out, hence it is important that you change it every year before the rainy season begins. Also, you need to check that the rubber is not too hard and does have any cracks, as this can scratch the windscreen. Make sure that washer bottle is filled properly and if you want, you can add some mild detergent, which will keep your windshield clean and oil free.
Brakes: Brake calipers are amongst the most important part of your car and it is your responsibility to keep them clean and dirt free. Make sure that the brakes are neither too tight nor too loose and you need to keep using them as water may wet the drums of the brakes, which reduces its efficiency.
Interiors: There are times, when the water level is quite high and it flows into the cabin, which damages the floor and the carpet. To overcome such situation, you can put another set of mats (old) that can soak up the water. Also, you can prefer fabric mats above the rubber ones. Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the car so that there is no bad odour left. In case the seats of the car gets wet, you can keep the window open to avoid any fungus developments.
Electricals: It is another important factor that makes your car run well. If you find any weak connection, it is your responsibility to patch them up. Make sure all the fuses are working fine and remember to carry some extra fuses. Check whether all the lights of your car are working and do remember to keep them on while driving.
