Tata Venture to be launched in India by Aug 2010

India's fastest growing car maker Tata Motors is mulling over to launch its much awaited MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) Tata Venture in the month of August 2010.  The model was displayed at the Delhi International Auto Expo in January this year where it attracted a large number of visitors and car enthusiasts.

The Tata Venture model is expected to be rolled-out in the price range of Rs 4.5 to 6 lakh. However, any official statement on this regard is yet to be made by the company. The model will be launched in three variants including  5, 7 and 8-seater models.  It is speculated that the model will be powered with the same engine that comes equipped in Tata Indica (diesel version).

The company has recently replaced Hyundai India from the country's second largest car maker's spot owing to the former's sales in June 2010. It had recently inaugurated a new Nano production unit in Sanand Gujarat which played a significant role in increasing its total sales in this month . Company sold a total of 7704 units of Tata Nano in the Indian market during the month.
