Over the years, Geneva Motor Show has provided a ground for showcasing facelifts and important unveilings. In the ongoing Motor Show, Dacia, the subsidiary of Renault has showcased its Lodgy MPV and Duster facelift. If media reports are to believed, Dacia will bring its Lodgy MPV to Indian shores by the next year. In India, the car will be manufactured in the Renault Nissan alliance plant in Chennai. Based on the Logan's platform, the MPV copies most of its styling clues from the company's most sold compact SUV, Duster. The vehicle will be longer than upcoming Honda Mobilio by 98mm.

The MPV in European auto sector is made available in both the petrol and diesel fuel trims. Under the hood, the car carries 1.2-liter turbocharged engine that belts out a maximum power output of 115bhp. While in the diesel model, the car carries 1.6-litre naturally-aspirated engine that develops a power of 85bhp. However, in our country the MPV is expected to carry the 1.5-litre, four-cylinder K9k diesel engine and will be tweaked in a way to develop 90PS and 110PS. With the competitive pricing, the MPV will put some serious competition to the sales of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Chevrolet Enjoy and upcoming Honda Mobilio.
