The wait is finally over, the much awaited Mahindra Verito facelift named Refresh has been rolled out today in the segment C at an exciting price of Rs 5.27 lakh for Petrol BS4 model and Rs. 6.26 lakh for the Diesel BS4 model. Since the Segment C or entry level sedan segment has been doing really well in the market, so we bring to you a short comparison on the basis of three major factors price, mileage and comfort that decide the destiny of a car in the Indian market.

The 2012 Verito has come out carrying some serious changes to it that help it becoming better than before, it now gets an all new grille, alloy wheel design, stylish fog lamps, new roof rails and blackened pillar, thus more stylish from outside. Inside the cabin as well, it impresses with a bunch of new features like new 2 DIN music system with CD/MP3/AUX/USB, new centre console, new grab and door handles and upholstery. In addition, rear seats having more space go more comfortable.

2012 Mahindra Verito vs Swift Dzire

Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire being the segment topper will be the key competitor against 2012 Verito, however the old Verito too was doing pretty well, but with a makeover, it has certainly become a better car in terms of looks and features, that might give it a competitive edge over others. The kind of material used in the Swift Dzire has always been a drawback, and there scores the all new Verito, which has not just been successful in maintaining the quality, in fact with add on in the features in and out it wins the race. When it comes to the mileage, with a claimed mileage of 21kmpl, the Verito is reasobly good in that department as well. However the mileage of 23.4kmpl gives a competitive edge to the Dzire.

2012 Mahindra Verito Vs Toyota Etios

If we compare the new Verito with Toyota Etios, the one thing that Toyota Etios impresses on is the drivability, having a limp steering, it is fun to drive and handling is superb even on the busiest of roads. In fact the 1.5-litre petrol engine of the Etios is more powerful than that of the Verito's 1.4-litre MPFi engine. Whereas, if the diesel versions of both the cars are compared, they stand equal in terms of performance and power output. Moreover, the mileage figures too are almost the same. Though the Verito is a little underpowered but in terms of handling, it is a handy car and one doesn't feel like getting tired even after driving it for so long. As far as the styling and comfort is concerned , the new Verito is a clear winner.

2012 Mahindra Verito vs New Ford Classic

The newly Launched Ford Classic can also become one of the closest rivals of the all new Verito. The new Verito has been successful in proving itself to be a much polished, curvy and stylish in and out which was missing in the earlier version. The classic as well is great at looks, but the plastic quality used in it is not up to the mark. The spaciousness which has always been an advantage with the Verito, has got better this time, so it beats most cars in this department. While on the mileage, they both stand side by side, however the offered mileage given by new Ford Classic is 20.0kmpl (ARAI).

2012 Mahindra Verito Vs Nissan Sunny

Nissan sunny known for its style, space, safety features and competitive pricing now has a new competitor in the form of new Verito, which has certainly become more stylish and sporting 23 new features now makes it as well a feature packed car. But when it comes to the spaciousness, Nissan Sunny is anyway better than that of the Verito. Verito with the lesser boot and second row space is a bit congested in comparison to the Sunny. As far as the engine performance is concerned, where the Sunny produces the maximum of 85bhp, Verito is still behind there with 65bhp, in fact the torque is better in the Sunny. Yes the mileage produced by both the vehicles are almost equal. So on the whole, Nissan Sunny comes out as a clear winner.
