Honda Cars India’s new cars stocked at the Greater Noida facility suffered damages caused by paint fumes from the adjoining under construction manufacturing facilities. Half of the vehicles manufactured in February were affected and were ready for dispatch to the dealers but the Japanese automaker has restrained the vehicles from leaving the facility until resurrection. Reportedly, the manufacturing facility under construction is of a components supplier to large Korean electronics manufacturers.

The affected vehicles include Mobilio MPV, Brio hatchback and the CR-V, since City and Amaze are produced in Tapukara Plant, Rajasthan they are not affected. As per the report, nearly 4,000 or more vehicles were damaged in Greater Noida and now company is seeking expert advice to manage the crisis. Speaking of the damages, the paint fumes have resulted into spots on the freshly painted cars, especially over the chrome, plastic parts and the roof top.

Honda which is synonym of reliability and quality will surely ensure that the vehicles delivered to customers will be in pristine condition. Adding on this Honda’s spokesperson said,  "A batch of our cars parked in the CBU yard of our Greater Noida plant sustained some minor paint spots due to a painting activity in a neighbouring plant of another company”

"We are in the process of ensuring the necessary rectification, including change of parts wherever required, to maintain HCIL's stringent product quality standards," he added.
