Recently the automobile world has been welcoming the new and yet not fully discovered concept of Electric vehicles. The eco friendly cars according to Obama are the call of times. The US President has dreamed of over one million Electric cars by the year 2015. We Lithium Polymer traction battery. Also called LiPo, the traction battery is widely adopted ith such bold statements, the plugs in vehicles are the hottest topic of debate. With this the R&D teams are working hard to invent the most efficient technology for such vehicles and out of them what we have latest is thby the manufacturers under varied applications which include pure electric and also the hybrid cars.

These batteries have the same utility in air water and land. The battery is getting its manufacturing in countries like Canada, Russia, the USA, Korea, China, Taiwan etc. Addressing the issue, Dr Peter Harrop who is the Chairman of IDTechEx, commented that Lithium ion batteries work on the thick polymer separator which can be polyethylene oxide or polyacrylonitrile composite. The battery is made more adequate to low temperature with the use of Polymer gels, although it does not make them a fully solid construction. Thus the batteries are free from the leakage and improve upper temperature range which overall increases the life of the battery.

The Autonomous Underwater Vehicles or AUV’s are the most desired vehicles to make use of these batteries. The major reason is the capacity of this battery to handle high pressure. The other desired vehicle is the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles or UAVs as these batteries carry very less weight and does not need a heavy metal case. These batteries are sleek and the shape is even from all sides which amake them more desirable for UAV’s.
