Honda Urban SUV Concept Teaser Image
Up until a few months ago, Honda was accused by many of being lethargic with the release of their products in terms of its competitors and of course the lack of a diesel option. Now, Honda has already launched their diesel based hatch and sedan; the Honda Brio and Amaze. Now to the question of new products; Honda has recently released a teaser image of their latest offering; the Urban SUV Concept. The image is not very clear on th details of the vehicle but with a little educated guessing we figured this to be the long promised Honda Jazz based SUV. The Urban SUV concept will be first showcased in the upcoming Detroit Motor Show to be held in January.

Honda had promised a compact SUV launch after the release of the 2013 Jazz model which would be based on the hatchback's platform. This new Urban SUV concept, which will hit production by 2013, seems to be the very same promised compact SUV. The Honda Jazz is currently doing decent enough in the market and a compact SUV based on its platform is sure to do Honda a world of good considering India's fascination for utility vehicles.
Honda has stated that the Urban SUV concept is going to be a global one and we expect that it will be launched first in the European market, after which it will arrive to Indian shores. The Jazz SUV is sure to be offered with both petrol and diesel engine, with the diesel engine being Honda's recently developed 1.5-litre diesel mill that it plans to use in several of its upcoming diesel based cars.
