Honda Spirior Concept showcased at 2014 Auto China; nex-gen Honda Accord?

Honda showcased the nex-gen Spirior at the ongoing 13th Beijing Auto Show – 2014 Auto China. Nex-gen Honda Accord could be based on the Honda Spirior, the Accord the company showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo resembles it in the overall profile. Honda has already discontinued the current generation Accord last year as said by few dealers (the car was on sale until stock lasted), plus Accord is one of the most successful offering for the Japanese automaker in the premium saloon segment, so definitely there's a possibility that the nex-gen Accord could be based on Spirior.

Speaking of the design, the new Accord follows the 'EXCITING H!!' design philosophy, seen on the new City/Mobilio/new Jazz, this new generation Accord is completely new from group-up and resembles nothing with the previous generation. The company also showcased the Hybrid version of the same at the Indian Auto Expo; expect the hybrid powertrain to launch alongside the highly speculative diesel motor. Its is expected that the petrol motor will be up-rated and retained while the 1.6 liter i-DTEC is the diesel motor which will be debuted with the Accord in the country and it will also be incorporated in CR-V. When Accord will hit the Indian market which is likely to be in 2015 will compete against the recently refreshed Skoda Superb, updated 2015 Toyota Camry and 2015 Hyundai Sonata.
