Honda India to Expand its Dealer Network; 230 Facilities - 150 Cities by FY'14

Honda Cars India will increase their dealership number to 230 in around 150 cities by the end of 2014-15 financial year. This is nearly 35 per cent increment in dealership network says Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. Vice President, Marketing &Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd. The company at present has 195 dealerships in 127 cities across the country.

Speaking of last months sales, Honda has recorded 45 per cent growth thanks to there top selling vehicles – Amaze, City and recently launched Mobilio MPV. Adding more on the MPV, Honda has started deliveries of sportier and feature rich version - Mobilio RS later last month. The automaker has also shifted the manufacturing of City's to their new facility in Rajasthan recently to increase the production and indeed reduced waiting period.

Honda's débutante venture into the MPV segment with Mobilio, turned out to be successful, the Japanese auto giant is selling 5,000 plus units since its launch couple of months ago. Honda has priced it right, Mobilio tackles Ertiga while Mobilio RS looks to be a worthy competitor to Innova. The company débutante compact sedan – Amaze, has celebrated its first anniversary this year and over a lakh Amaze are on roads.

The 4th generation City is certainly the most successful compared to its predecessors - courtesy, we all know, introduction of a diesel heart with this gen! Furthermore, Honda is reportedly also planning to launch a compact SUV based Brio's platform. All these models along with added dealer network will help the company to compete well with its rivals – Maruti and Hyundai when it comes to sales.
