Every auto-maker has chalked out its plans precisely as the Indian Auto Expo is approaching. As official now, it is scheduled to commence from February 5, 2013. It has garnered immense response from the Indian audiences, like everytime and hence similar to every other manufacturer, Fiat India also has some exclusive plans for this fest. However, Fiat India hasn't divulged its plans completely but as we reported earlier it will launch its SUV brand Jeep in India. Additionally, we have learned that Fiat is also going to showcase the New Punto Adventure and facelifted Linea Saloon.

Fiat Linea

We have come to know that several modifications have take place in the new 2014 Fiat Linea. It would be now offered with a revamped front grille, newly styled front bumpers and fog lamps. Furthermore, there will be lot more chrome inserts this time with Fiat Linea. The rear portion of this sedan also gets altered as extra chrome strip is added which in result has pushed the number plate on the bootlid. However, no significant changes have taken place in the side body and its similar to the previous one.

Inside the cabin, the Linea gets a more plush appearance in the form of a three-layered, dual-tone dashboard that looks quite elegant. Apart from this, a new audio system has been introduced with the centre console and A/C vents have been tweaked in such a way that they appear more dynamic; leaving some much needed space above them. Steering wheel receives a bit of silver shade but it is exactly the same. Despite the changes, the company retains the gear lever, climate control knobs and door pads.

The mechanical details of the vehicle are still unknown, but it is expected that there will be no changes with this aspect. Fiat will offer the new Linea with the same engine options which are a 1.4-litre Revolutionary FIRE petrol engine, 1.3-litre Revolutionary FIRE diesel engine and the 1.4-litre T-Jet petrol engine. All the engines are expected to be mated with a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox. As Fiat has announced the launch of nine new models in the coming three years for the Indian shores, first of which the Fiat Linea Classic is already available in the market, a lot more interesting stuff can be expected in the coming Indian Auto Expo 2014.
