    Audi Q9 Render Speculations

Audi has started work on releasing the new Q9 by 2014 which will replace the existing Q8 as the king of the Q series. The Q9 will be based on the extended next-gen Audi Q7 platform and will reach a total length of 5.15-meters. That’s bigger than both the Range Rover and the Mercedes GL!

Engine details are as yet hazy but it’s clear that the Q9 will come with a 3.0-litre V12 configuration TDI engine.  It is expected the concept will debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. Considering the engine size, the Q9 will of course not be released under those configurations in India. India may see a down-rated version of the same, but that may well be far off in the future.

What’s more, the VW board still hasn’t actually approved the crossover, which means it may take the car a while before it hits the market. We’ll just have to wait and see when Audi launches it and if and when Audi India brings it to Indian shores.
