Mercedes-Benz AMG GT Monster Roadster
Power and confidence are quintessential of a roadster. But when it comes to AMG powered cars from the German brand, the power and confidence these vehicles display is beyond words. Mercedes-Benz AMG GT R is the latest flagship roadster which has been doing the rounds for the past one year. The company calls it the Beast from the Green Hell and while it looks like a fabled monster derived from the pages of legend, the aggressive design language does make it a flagship sports car. The bellicose styling comes from the ?Panamericana grille with vertical chrome slats, carbon-fiber roof, lightweight forged alloy wheels, active aero flaps and titanium exhaust at the rear. The interiors are all black with more Alcantara inserts. The engine forms the most solid impression with 4.0L twin-turbo V8 motor on duty. The powertrain musters 585hp and 700Nm of max torque. With 7-speed transmission on board, the car rockets forward to make 0-100kmph dash in just 3.6 seconds of time with the ability to attain the top speed of 318kmph. This makes it the most powerful and quickest accelerating model in the AMG GT range with sharp handling and track focused ambition. Porsche 911 Turbo is the only car that fills all the brackets in the similar price range. Rest, for those who need more power and acceleration on the track, they have to spend a few lakhs more and buy Audi R8 that comes with a mammoth engine and jaw-dropping exterior profile.
