Low quality of material spoiling great driving experience

for 2.0 Diesel Portfolio

I have 3.0 diesel XF and I'm one of the few buyers to have it in India. The driving experience is great. The engine of the car has a sweet sound. There is no lack of power at any stage. The car's turbo boost of the car works well while overtaking. And paddle shifter add more fun to the driving. Inside the car is very well cut off from the outside world. hardly any noise could be heard in the cabin. The steering wheel is quiet direct and responsive. The leather seats in the car are comfortable. The back seat of the car seems quiet cramped but actually apt for an average Indian. The infotainment system is decent compared the the competition though hangs in between while using iPhones. The touch is not as responsive as expected. Everything has been working well since last 4 years now. But since couple of months i have started facing a weird problem. The buttons inside the car including the steering mounted controls, the AC buttons in the central console and the power window buttons have started melting. They have become sticky and have started to come out. I feel very disgusted at times using them. The cheap quality of plastics is letting the car down. Even after contacting the company no corrective action has been taken or should i say i haven't even got a courtesy email to acknowledge my problem. The only reply i have got the the car is out of warranty. I'm so surprised by the email as buttons inside the car should last life long. if 1-2 buttons were getting spoiled i would have accepted it that because of regular usage might have got spoiled. but all the buttons inside the car are spoilt or should i say melted. The customer service from the company is pathetic and is not accepting that its a manufacturing fault. i cant believe the a company like jaguar would use cheap quality products i actually feel cheated for paying 56-57 lac rupees for the car. The company should not expect the customer to pay for a manufacturing defect or for the replacement cost all the buttons. I have a very positive review for the cars driving performance but cheap quality plastics used inside the car doesn't make it feel upmarket or premium neither does the customer support of jaguar is helping the cause.
