Audi A3 Cabriolet Open-air Driving Fun Comes at a Cost
First I would like to make it clear that Audi A3 Cabriolet is one of the best looking convertibles you will see on Indian roads. It gives you an excellent open-air driving pleasure that is unmatched in the class of vehicles it slots in. It provides everything you can expect from 2-door convertible. The 2017 version of my friend which I test drive, comes with LED headlights, hexagonal grille and the revamped dynamic taillights with LED turn indicator. Inside, the equipment features include 7-inch MMI infotainment, leather upholstery and dual-zone climate control which are nothing short of impressive. The highlight point of the car is the hydraulic rooftop which can be electrically operated upto the speed of 50kmph. The carmaker has also tuned down the engine from 1.8L to 1.4L for all the good reasons. The engine feels refined and silent and comes with improved fuel efficiency. But all this comes at a mammoth price of over Rs. 55 lakhs (on road). If you are fond of wind-in-your-hair motoring and money doesn't bother you at all, then shelling out Rs. 16-17 lakhs extra for the tin-top model (against A3 sedan at around Rs. 38 lakhs) will not make you regret your decision. But for me, despite all its brownie points, the A3 Cabriolet has been priced ridiculously.
