Q 7.How do I transfer ownership of a used car in India?
To transfer ownership of 2nd hand cars in India, both the buyer and seller need to sign Forms 29 and 30. An NOC (No Objection Certificate) is only needed if the car is moving to a different RTO than where it's currently registered. Once the forms are ready, you'll submit them at the RTO along with the required fee to get the transfer process started. You might also need ID proof from both parties, plus the car's valid insurance and PUC.
