The big sports giant of adventure has come back with its hunky look and new muscularity in the all new 2012 Mitsubishi Pajero.The company has really gone the distance by providing a complete package of luxury and comfort in this festive season. The car comes with extra comfort with excessive space for head and shoulder room also for legroom. The company provides a new and very unique look, with a hint of elements taken from other cars. The outer appearance of the car is mind blowing and mind boggling. The car itself is a masterpiece in the making. The interiors look very good with the dual tone color used extensively all over the area. Also many bright and convenient features have been provided in interiors. This car is a truly genetically coded for adventure. It can take rough or smooth surfaces like butter and makes you wonder that this indeed is a Sports Utility Vehicle. The 2.8L turbo charged diesel engine is highly durable and produces a lot of power . To protect the engine and other delicate parts, the high tensile steel frame is installed to make the parts super secure. Not only the frame work is very light weight but it provides great strength toward any crash or in other situations.

Exteriors

The Mitsubishi Pajero 2.8 SFX Dual Tone with itsmuscular exterior and strikingly handsome looks makes a very good first impression. The car has a strong and tough build that makes anyone gasp at first glance. The new cluster headlamps look perfect with the shapeof the car. The intercooler vent is very useful and attractive too. There is a six spoke alloy wheels and more wider footboard. The SUV looks so wild, in brazenly attractive shades. The chromed radiator grill also with large front bumper garnish with grill guard is very elegant in looks, also there is chrome side and rear drip mouldings, chromed door handles and door mirrors makes a perfect match in the car.  The carcomes in 7 different luxurious shades which look very elegant and classy on it to perfectly suit the SUV’s muscular and sporty look. The colors are named as Flame Red, Carbon Black, Navy Blue, Granite, Deep Purple, Graphite and Limestone yellow. The Mitsubishi Pajero 2.8 SFX Dual Tone comes in the giant size of overall length 4755mm, overall width of 1775mm and overall height of 1900mm. The kerb weight of the SUV is 2155kg.

Interiors

The interiors are packed with some great features. The leather wrapped steering wheel and the gear shift makes the cockpit looks astonishing. The dual tone interiors has some features to look out for such as the illuminated cigarette lighter, front cup holders, two ashtrays, driver footrest etc. Many storage spaces have been provided to store small things such as door pockets and magazine holder. Glove box offers some level of security as it comes with a lock. The rear seats can easily be folded for good cargo storage space. The new soft brown colored interiors are beautifully crafted and designed.  

Engine and Performance

The Mitsubishi Pajero 2.8 SFX Dual Tone comes affixed with the 2.8L 8 valve Turbocharged Intercooler Diesel engine with a displacement of 2835cc . This is a single camshaft overhead mechanism which comprise of 4 cylinders.  The bore X stroke by the valve is of 95.0 X 100.0 respectively to give a great power output. The maximum power output by is 116.93bhp at the rate of 4000rpm. The maximum torque produced by BS III type is 292Nm at the rate of 2000rpm. The manual transmission type of 5 gears does a pretty good job of providing great pick up speeds also. The car attains the maximum speed of 150kmph in a very little time with the tons of power provided by the engine. The car also provides a decent city mileage of 6.5kmpl and 10.5kmpl on highways .

Braking and Handling

The car is very responsive many thanks to the new hydraulic variable power assisted steering which provides a very good smooth driving. The front brakes comprises of 15” ventilated discs and the rear brakes are of 15” drum in disc that goes with the suspension system if the car. The front suspension is fitted with the double wishbone torsion bar with stabilizer bar and the rear suspension comprises of and 3-link coil spring rigid axle with stabilizer bar. The suspension of the car is quite simply the best for different on road and off road rough conditions. Tyres are much wider and have more resistance against the rough conditions. The wheels of the car comes with 15 X7.00 J Alloy Wheels and the tyre is 265/70 R 15 112S tubeles s which provide a ground clearance of 205mm. The wheelbase of the car is 2725mm with a front track of 1465mm and a rear track of 1480mm. The minimum turning radius of the car is 5.9m. 

Safety Features

The front dual airbags and 3 point seatbelts form a good combined for protection in any event for collision. The ABS is a great feature which significantly decreases the barking period. The front and rear door impact bars are also very good addition. Some other safety features are high mounted stop lamps, collapsible steering column, belt pretensioners. All the safety features offer very high level of safety and security also.

Comfort features

The Mitsubishi Pajero 2.8 SFX Dual Tone offers a very high level of comfort and a large space inside it. The car is a completely out of the world, no other has SUV has features like this one has. Plus the dtyling and design is amazing. There is tilt adjustable power steering and air conditioning with 2nd and 3rd row ducts also with cabin heater to make your ride more comfortable. The soft brown interiors with lumbar supports on the front seats and centre arm rest with stowage function that never make you feel uncomfortable. There is front cup holders, illuminated cigarette lighter with ashtrays (front illuminated and 2nd row passenger’s on door) . The driver’s footrest is a very new feature comes in this variant. The infotainment features includes the tuner, MP3 CD player with USB . You can also control ac from the rear seats in the car.  

Pros

The car comes with many new state of the art comfort and safety features. The detailing inside the car is very good.

Cons

The service network of Mitsubishi is not so good in India. The fuel efficiency of the car is not good as compared to others in this class.
