Cedia Sports Review

Mitsubishi Motors is one of the leading and very innovative transnational car makers in the global car markets. Their Indian arm is a joint collaboration with Hindustan Motors, which are one of the oldest car manufacturers in the country. This famed joint venture was sealed in year, 1998 and since then this partnership has developed quite a few brilliant vehicles for the Indian populace. Their range includes the Mitsubishi Lancer sedan series, which is one of the most acclaimed sedans in the Indian market. They also have a couple of SUVs, Mitsubishi Pajero and Mitsubishi Outlander, which are doing incredible sales in the country, apart from the Mitsubishi Montero as well. The company has just recently added another trim to the Mitsubishi Cedia sedan line up. This new trim is christened as the Mitsubishi Cedia Select 2012 and is said to be integrated with some marvelous and much needed advanced technologies inside it. Mitsubishi Cedia lineup was first launched in year 2006 and the name was changed to distinguish between this and the earlier version of Mitsubishi Lancer. This premium sedan, Mitsubishi Cedia is sold in quite a few international markets across the world under different names and is doing well in all of them, since the time it was launched. The Mitsubishi Cedia Sports has gone through a few upgrades and facelifts and is now one of the most stylish sedan’s in the Indian car market.

Exteriors:

The outsides of this premium sedan, Mitsubishi Cedia Sport are done up very nicely with a sturdy aerodynamic body structure. The front façade has a sleek three slat radiator grille, which holds the company logo. This neatly done up grille is flanked with a bright headlamp cluster along with side turn indicator, these headlamps are powered with heavy duty halogen lights that resemble a fish eye. The side profile has well carved out wheel arches, which are fitted with a set of sleek radial tubeless alloy wheels of 15 inches with a tyre size 195/60 R 15 88V and also have external rear view mirrors. The rear end has a sporty spoiler on the boot that also has a high mounted stop lamp and a prominent insignia of the company and the regular brand name on the boot lid. The tail lamp cluster is bright and the rear wind screed has a defogger with a color keyed extended rear bumper. The overall dimensions of this Mitsubishi Cedia Sport are very impressive with an overall length of 4595mm and a total width of 1695mm along with a total height of 1455mm and a spacious wheel base of 2600mm . This sports sedan has an impressive ground clearance of 175mm and the kerb weight with 90% fuel, spare wheel, tools and other such features is around 1225 kgs. Other exteriors features include a roof mounted antenna and a pair of bright and round shaped fog lamps affixed in the front bumper to improve the visibility of the driver, even in extreme weather conditions.

Interiors:

The interiors have been done up quite refreshingly with a two tone combination inside paneling with chrome finished inside handles, a sporty dashboard and a brilliant instrument panel of which the lighting can be adjusted according to the driver’s requirement. The accelerator, brake and clutch pedals are anti skid and are made of alloy for better grip. A front and rear console with space to keep some handy things for the convenience of the passengers. A three spoke MOMO steering wheel which is covered with leather along with the gear shift knob and the parking brake lever as well. The front driver and passenger seats are sliding as well as reclining, but the driver seat can also be manually adapted in two ways along with adaptable head rests. The rear seating arrangement has a center arm rest with cup holders and is covered with premium fabric upholstery. The air conditioning is very efficient and powerful, which cools the entire cabin in no time to add further comfort to the occupants. Apart from all these features, there are a number of other comfort features as well that will certainly tempt the customers.
