Range Rover Evoque 2011-2014 2.2L Pure Review

The luxury car brand, JLR has recently introduced the facelifted version of its best selling SUV Range Rover Evoque in India. It has updated all the variants in its model line-up including the base trim Land Rover Range Rover Evoque 2.2L Pure . This variant is powered by a 2.2-litre SD4 diesel engine that is now paired with a nine speed automatic transmission gearbox. This power plant can generate a peak power of 187.4bhp, while yielding a peak torque of 420Nm, which is impressive. At the same time, the fuel efficiency has been improved as it can deliver a mileage in the range of 17.39 to 23.08 Kmpl. Apart from this, the company has made some minor tweaks to its exteriors, especially to its headlamp pattern in order to give it a dazzling look. However, most of the interiors and its features have been retained without any change. This entry level trim is equipped with some innovative features like 6/4-way electrically adjustable seats, automatic climate control unit, an advanced communication and entertainment system featuring a Meridian sound system and several sophisticated aspects.

Exteriors:

The 2014 version of Land Rover Range Rover Evoque gets a minor tweak to its exterior cosmetics, but its body structure and design remains the same. The car maker has done some changes to the front facet by updating the headlight pattern with xenon headlamps with LED signature lights. Its front radiator grille has two horizontally positioned slats with expressive design and is fitted with the company's badge. The design of the front bumper has been revoked and now it comes with a perforated air intake section, two air ducts along with an aluminum protective cladding. Its air ducts hosts a pair of LED fog lamps, which provides better visibility ahead. The overall fresh look of the front is complimented by 'Range Rover' lettering embossed on the hood. Its side profile looks very sleek yet masculine thanks to large wheel arches that are fitted with a set of 17 inch sparkle silver alloy wheels, which gives a dynamic look to the side profile. Its window sills and its pillars gets glossy black finish, whereas its door handles and the ORVM caps comes in body color.
