California T T Review

Ferrari is a brand that has stood out in the auto industry, a brand of uniquely high standards. The Italian manufacturer has pioneered some of the most cherished sports vehicles. The Ferrari California T is among the acclaimed model range that the company currently has, and just recently, this model has seen a launch in the Indian market as well. The car shares a similar design background as other models from the company, such as F12 Berlinetta. A highlight of this car is its convertible format. Its retractable hard top roof can be withdrawn to reveal an even more admirable figure. The roof's cover and the top move at the same time when opening or closing, thereby giving an exceptionally short transition time. Moving to the interior facet, the car's cockpit is designed to suit its sporty standards. The limited space is utilized intelligently to provide good room for the passengers. The cabin also charms its occupants with impressive features for entertainment and relaxation. There are apt safety standards as well, enabling the passengers to enjoy the ride without worry or stress. Dual airbags for the front passengers ensure a level of shielding in case of mishaps. A stability control system is also present, boosting the control quality for a safer and more reliable drive. The factor that underscores the value of this car beyond all other features is its road performance. It is armed with an eight cylinder engine that displaces 3855cc. The mighty power-plant enforces a top speed of 315kmph, a feat few road ever built have achieved. In addition to this, the vehicle can spurt from 0 to 100kmph within just 3.6 seconds, placing it among the fastest cars ever built.

Exteriors:

Like all other models of the company, this vehicle has a sporty stance. It is designed on strong aerodynamic stance, ensuring better performance and good looks as well. Its low and streamlined poise conducts a better airflow around it when driving, thereby making for least resistance when accelerating. It stands for a height of 1321mm, a length of 4570mm and a width of 1910mm, reflecting a balanced overall figure. Going into specifics of its design, it carries a large grille at the front. Two characteristic air vents are present by either side of this, helping to dissipate hot air from the engine to keep it cool. The bold look of the front is underscored by the sleek headlamp clusters on either side, which come with intricate detailing that adds to the effect. The robust form of the hood is further improved with the fine curvatures and the clean lines. The swept back windscreen is also an add-on to the sporty look of the car. By the side, the carefully designed fenders uplift its sporty quotient. The alloy wheels are stylish in design, and the marque of the company renders a more distinctive touch to it. The brake calipers are visible beneath them. The gentle metallic skin is overridden by sporty lines and unique styling elements. The single door is shaped meticulously, and the small door handle blends into the look. The tail section is imposed with a muscular tone, broader and huskier than the front. There are small circular lamps that define its modern persona. The sporty exhaust system adds a thrilling look to the car.

Interiors:

The interior of the car are adept for carrying four passengers. The seating arrangement of the cabin enables space and convenience for all occupants. Headrests are present for the front row passengers, enabling support for their heads and necks, as well as safety. A central armrest is also present in the front row. The multi functional steering wheel is cleverly modeled, and it hosts some features for the ease of the passengers. The instrument dials are placed within the field of view for the driver, and illumination is also present for easier functioning. Plush upholstery covers the seats, giving the occupants a more luxurious feel. Beside this, the dashboard and other areas of the cabin are also covered in leather. The round air vents give a distinctive look to the space. A highlight of the cabin is the 6.5 inch digital display at the center, which boosts the sophisticated feel of the place. The marque of the company is present on the headrests, the steering wheel and other areas of the interior, giving the cabin its distinguished mark. Beside all of this, the company is offering a wealth of personalization options as well, allowing customers the benefit of tailoring the interiors according to their own needs. Some of the options available among the personalization schemes include diamond stitched seats and Alcantara floor mats.

Engine and Performance:

Packed inside the vehicle is a mighty 3.9-litre V8 engine. It consists of eight cylinders incorporated together, and a direct fuel injection makes for efficient fuel transfer as well. The power-plant has a compression ratio of 9:4:1. Going into specifications, the mill has a displacement capacity of 3855cc. Also, it generates a power of 553bhp at 7500rpm, together with a hammering torque of 755Nm at 4750rpm. This engine is paired with a unique F1 transmission system that comes along with a dual clutch system 7-speed gearbox. Beside bringing daring performance to the streets, the drive-train is also conducive for good fuel economy. It manages a mileage of 9.5kmpl, which is good considering its excellent performance qualities.

Braking and Handling:

For the suspension arrangement, the front axle is rigged with a double wishbone system, while the rear is armed with a multi-link mechanism. In addition to this, the car has a SCM3 magnetorheological suspension system that further adds to the ride stability. Coming to the braking section, it has a carbo ceramic braking system that consists of 390mm discs at the front and 360mm discs at the rear. A prized feature of this machine is its F1 Trac system, which enhances ride stability along with a CST system (control for stability and traction).

Comfort Features:

There is an advanced Infotainment system for the entertainment needs of the occupants. This system features a 6.5-inch touch screen display for more satisfactory experience. A satellite navigation system relieves hassle for the driver, providing a well informed drive. The automatic air conditioning system is enhanced with a climate control function, giving a good ride ambiance throughout.

There are strong seatbelts for the security of the occupants. This is further reinforced by pre-tensioners, which automatically restrain seatbelts in case of a collision. Additional safety is granted by headrests for the front row passengers, along with dual airbags for the front occupants. The anti lock braking system improves control when braking, and a stability control facility is present as well. Aside from all of this, there are strong headlamps that neutralize possibilities of mishaps to a certain degree.

Pros:

1. Its acceleration is quite impressive.

2. Stunning exterior design is its plus point.

Ferrari California Elegance with Engineering Precision

Ferrari is known for creating supercars that defy the architectural layout of automobiles. California T is one of those engineering innovations that have been made to be gentle on roads. The exteriors of the latest iteration shed the clumsiness that was present in the earlier versions. It might not be a grand tourer but feels just as comfortable. Where other automakers are taking the downscaling of engines seriously, Ferrari made a bold decision in offering the V8 along with the addition of a turbocharger. The engine pumps out massive 552 PS which can help drag this car to 100kmph from zero in 3.6 seconds, attaining the staggering speed of 320kmph. Interiors are designed to bask in the home of luxury and comfort. With fastest and smoothest handling on roads, eye-grabbing exteriors and the convenience of converting it into a cabriolet in just 14 seconds, California T is one of the most practical Ferraris on offer today.Read More

    Ferraris softest car

The California is Ferraris softest car, but the gentle roadster has been given a highly significant kick up the chuff courtesy an all-new twin-turbo V8 that delivers 552bhp and 557lb ft. This new engine suits the cars easy-driving character, as well as letting you go longer before stopping for fuel. New exterior panels shed the awkwardness of the former shape. Other innovations include slightly firmer springs for better handling, with re-tuned adaptive dampers for a better ride. If that?s not your bag, spec the 5,568 Handling Speciale pack with even stiffer springs, a nosier exhaust and new gearbox software. However underneath, the California is the same all-aluminium folding hard-top 2+2 as before. Getting up to speed Ferraris transition back into the realm of turbocharging wasnt a decision made lightly, and the alteration wasnt performed sheerly in the pursuit of increased output. As international emissions and fuel economy regulations become stricter, performance brands are among those most affected, and Ferrari is no more immune to those regulations than anyone else is. For better or worse, this change in engine configuration has a fairly substantial impact on not only the Californias power delivery, but its overall personality as well. Yet theres no denying that the move served its purpose: Along with the performance improvements, the California T also boasts a 15-percent drop in emissions and a substantial improvement in fuel economy as well. The 250g/km CO2 figure speaks of better consumption when youre going gently; official Ferrari figures state 26.9mpg, almost unheard of from Maranello. Ferrari owners will notice not the money saved but tank range increased. Insurance and tyres and so-on will be punishing. But new Ferraris get seven years of maintenance included in the price (and a four-year warranty). As it is the most attainable Ferrari on sale, this extended package may well come as a pleasant surprise, even for those stepping from established premium makes such as Mercedes-Benz and BMW. Welcome to the Ferrari family. Out on the road One of the main reasons Id hesitate to classify the California T as a supercar can be found just driving around town. City driving in a supercar can be a stressful proposition: Supercar attributes like a low front splitter threaten to scrape the pavement at the mere suggestion of uneven ground, and a stiffly tuned suspension is always ready to abuse your nerves over pockmarked urban streets. Neither of these is an issue when driving this Ferrari. As a hardtop convertible, the California T's cabin merges the best of the roadster and coupe worlds, with a well-built, sturdy feel to the interior that hasn't always been typical of Ferrari. Passenger room is good up front, but the plus-two rear seats are best reserved for children or extra gear. There's a new seat design with more bolstering, and while we'll say the trunk is useful for a carefully packed weekend away, it's hardly spacious. The folding hardtop operates smoothly and quickly, opening and closing in about 15 seconds. Of course the California T, can be custom tailored to an owner's every wish, with special colors, trims and accessories. You won't end up with the same car as anyone else. Standard features on the California T include navigation, USB connections, and even something you might not expect from a Ferrari sports car: cupholders. There's some modern tech here, too; Apple CarPlay has arrived, and a new digital gauge system, called Turbo Performance Engineer is located between the two central air vents.Read More

The awsm car in the world

He Ferrari California is a grand touring sports car produced by the Italian manufacturer Ferrari. It is a two-door 2+2 hard top convertible. When originally released, the California was powered by a front-mid mounted naturally aspirated 4.3-litre V8;[1] in 2014 Ferrari introduced the second generation of the model, named California T and using a new twin-turbo 3.9-litre V8. The car revives the name used on the late-1950s Ferrari 250 GT Spyder California and the 1960s 365 California. The California represents a number of firsts for Ferrari: The first front engined Ferrari with a V8 The first to feature a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission The first with a folding metal roof The first with multi-link rear suspension The first with direct petrol injection Bosch produced the direct injection system. The engine displaces 4,297 cubic centimetres (262.2 cubic inches), and used gasoline direct injection. It delivers 338 kW (453 bhp) at 7,750 rpm; its maximum torque produced is 485 Nm (358 lbfft) at 5,000 rpm. The resulting 79 kW (106 bhp) per litre of engine displacement is one of the highest for a naturally aspirated engine, as other manufacturers have used supercharging or turbocharging to reach similar power levels.[6] The body computer system was developed by Magneti Marelli Automotive Lighting.Read More
