X6 2009-2014 M Design Edition Review

Powering this particular version is the 4.4-litre, V8 petrol power plant that is incorporated with twin turbo charger. The company has made no changes to the technicalities of the engine or its mechanism. This eight cylinder based 4395cc engine is very powerful and it can propel this SUV to zoom towards 100 Kmph in just about 5.4 seconds, which is quite remarkable. The company is offering this latest edition with a set of new cosmetics both inside and out, which will boost the sporty and striking looks of this vehicle. The interiors of this SUV gets the high class Merino Leather upholstery along with a two tone instrument panel. This panel comes in Black color with Mugello Red contrast stitching that gives a classy look to the insides. This SUV comes with Piano Black shade with an edition specific badge that beautifies the overall look of the interiors. Also, this design edition trim gets the classy 21-inch M Performance light alloy wheels with double spoke design . The company is offering this latest edition with three different paint options, which are Alpine White, Melbourne Red Metallic and Sapphire Black. Also the exterior mirror caps of this SUV comes with gloss black color garnish as part of M Design package. Then, this limited edition trim gets 'M Performance' body decals with stripes that completes the overall sporty look of the vehicle. You can notice these body decals on the bonnet, side profile, as well as on front and rear bumper. Other new exterior features include the front splitter, rear diffuser and a rear spoiler. This power is converted to a mammoth torque output of about 680Nm at 1500 to 5650rpm. The company has coupled this V8 engine with an advanced 6-speed M Sport automatic transmission gearbox that delivers the torque output to the wheels in the form of an AWD layout. The company claims that this SUV takes only about 5.4 seconds to reach the speed barrier of about 100 Kmph, which is quite remarkable.

The German automaker is selling this Design Edition trim with a proficient ventilated disc braking system. The ventilated discs fitted to the front wheels comes with 15.6 inch in diameter, while the rear discs comes with 15.2 inch of diameter. These disc brakes gets further assistance from the anti lock braking system , cornering brake control and other advanced features. The company also incorporated this trim with an electronic stability control and electronic damping control functions that will take the handling aspects to a new high.
