A four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine with ample power, best-in-class features such as auto climate control, perfectly ergonomic seats, an Android Auto/Apple CarPlay Infotainment system, and a retro yet eye-pleasing dashboard make the Ignis a great package for the price. The car offers excellent value for money, considering its great mileage ranging between 12 kmpl to 20 kmpl, depending on how heavy-footed you are. Additionally, the low maintenance and service costs make it a reliable long-term vehicle. The drive is peppy, maneuverability is easy, and the pickup is awesome. Standard safety features like 2 airbags, ABS, EBD are good; however, the Ignis could have had a safer body, which would have been the cherry on the cake. All in all, a wonderful hatchback for the Indian demographic.

My purchasing experience was excellent because I believed Maruti, and Nexa's services are also excellent. I became a devotee of it after my first test drive. I've covered about 21 kilometers per hour and about 18 city kilometers in my ten thousand kilometres of driving. From the inside, Maruti Ignis is very roomy. I completed its 10,000 km repair and was pleased with the price of the treatment and maintenance. This vehicle is very useful and offers the best value in its category for the money. Go for it; it won't let you down. Light through is excellent at night. Peppy engine. Best gearbox. Good control steering.

The engine, gearbox and clutch are very good. Breaks are very good too. Very smooth running, a powerful car with low-cost service but I don't like its suspension. 

Great value for money in this price range. Initially, I felt its a bit expensive considering its size when compared with its rivals(punch, Tiago, Nissan Magnite). But when I took in-depth pricing of all variants considering my budget of around 7L, I got Delta variant of Ignis completely changed my mind!! When I compared with its rivals (variant-variant comparison at around 7L price point ) These are the compromises I had to make but not in the case of Ignis: * ALL FOUR POWER WINDOWS *ELECTRICALLY ADJUSTABLE ORVMS *MULTIMEDIA STEERING MOUNTED CONTROLS *INTERIORS & INSTRUMENT CLUSTER SAME AS ITS TOP VARIANT (I mean the premium feel of top-end version) *BUTTON STYLE MEDIA PLAYER WITH BLUETOOTH HANDS-FREE CALLING WITH STEERING MOUNTED CALL CONTROLS *REMOTE LOCKING (Missing in punch variant at 7L) *ADJUSTABLE HEADRESTS FOR ALL FOUR OCCUPANTS Major missing useful features: *TOUCH DISPLAY & REVERSE CAMERA *ELECTRICALLY FOLDABLE ORVM.(NOT A BIG CON FOR ITS PRICE POINT THOUGH) If the above features are to opt-in other cars as I said in the case of Tiago, Punch and Magnite I beat it would cost around 1L+ of the additional amount which seems to be a nominal amount for some. but I consider it to be a big amount considering the price range we are focussing on. Lastly, FEW POINTS TO NOTE ABOUT WHY IGNIS AMONG OTHERS: *AFFORDABLE AFTER-SALES SERVICES(LOW MAINTAINANCE COST) *BETTER RESALE VALUE *AND THE ENGINE(NEED NOT TO MENTION ITS KNOWN BY ALL:-) *MOREOVER ITS A PREMIUM CAR FROM NEXA (ADDS A TOUCH OF PREMIUMNESS AS IN MID RANGE CARS) *BEST IN CLASS MILEAGE. And lastly, as nothing is perfect, here are a few noticeable drawbacks: *INTERIOR PLASTIC QUALITY IS NOT UPTO THE MARK *LITTLE NOISY CABIN *STEERING IS TOO SMOOTH EVEN AT HIGH SPEEDS *3 STAR SAFETY RATING IS OKAYISH BUT NOT A BIG CONCERN THOUGH
