Mahindra Vision SXT

The Mahindra Vision SXT concept made its debut at the Freedom NU event on August 15, 2025 This concept looks like a pickup version of the Mahindra Vision T concept showcased at the event. Just like the Vision T, the Vision SXT concept is also underpinned by Mahindra's NU IQ platform. Mahindra could bring the production-ready version of the SXT concept by late 2027 or by early 2028.

The overall design of the Vision SXT concept seems to be inspired by rally-spec cars. Up front, it boasts a black rectangular grille which merges into the square housing for the LED projector headlights. It also gets vertical stripes for LED DRLs as seen on the Vision T, and it also doubles up as turn indicators. As seen on the Vision T, the Vision SXT concept also comes with an off-road-specific bumper protruding from the body. The lower part of the bumper also integrates a silver skid plate.

In profile, the Vision SXT looks similar to the Vision T prototype up to the C-pillar, beyond which it is extended to accommodate a flatbed. The front door handles and ORVMs have been blacked out, and just like the Thar Roxx, the rear door handles have been placed on the C-pillar. There’s a black strip that runs down from OVRMs to the lower section of the body, and ‘Vision SXT’ branding has been provided on the front doors. This concept also runs on off-road tyres as seen on the Vision T prototype.

The rear is highlighted by two off-road tyres placed on the flatbed of the concept, secured by a matte black trim that doesn’t fully cover them. It also features pixel LED taillights, while the high-mounted stop lamps are integrated into the roof spoiler. For a rugged appeal, it gets a chunky blacked-out bumper, which also integrates a silver skid plate.

The cabin of the Mahindra Vision SXT concept has multiple colours, while some elements like AC vents, surrounds, steering wheel, door grab handles and are finished in yellow for a quirky look. Things like a 3-spoke steering wheel with a start/stop button, digital driver’s display, and a large vertical touchscreen, which also integrates a climate control display, are directly borrowed from the Vision T prototype.

The Vision SXT concept comes in a 5-seater layout, and the seats are upholstered in black leatherette. It gets 4-point seatbelts, which are finished in yellow for a contrasting appeal.

The Vision SXT concept is based on the Nu IQ platform, which also underpins the Vision T concept. This platform supports the accommodation of multiple powertrains; hence, the Vision SXT could come in both ICE (internal combustion engine) or EV avatars.
