Fiat Argo

May 31, 2017: Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has revealed the Argo for the Brazilian market. The Argo is anticipated to replace the Punto EVO globally in a couple of years, including India. The Argo is likely to be launched here by 2019, it might have its public debut at the 2018 Indian Auto Expo. If launched, the Argo will go up against the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz among others. The overall design of the Argo is diametrically opposite to the Punto’s. Compared to the Punto, the Argo looks fresh and competitive. Like its peers, the Argo is loaded to the gills with features such as LED headlamps, DRLs, LED tail lamps, diamond-cut alloy wheels, a big spoiler. Also offered are six-airbags, 7-inch Uconnect infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, auto climate control, 7-inch digital MID among others.The India-spec Argo is likely to come with the 1.3 MultiJet diesel and the newly introduced 1.4 MultiAir turbo petrol (coming with the Jeep Compass) engine options. Besides the standard 5-speed manual, Fiat could offer its 5-speed AMT with the Argo in India same as the Brazilian-spec model or the 6-speed automatic. The prices of the Argo are expected to be in the vicinity of the outgoing Punto EVO.
